And they’re off like a firework.
Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket took off Monday morning with its star-studded, glammed-up, all-female crew, including singer Katy Perry, Jeff Bezos’ fiancée Lauren Sanchez, and “CBS Mornings” co-host Gayle King.
The New Shepard 31 soared through the Texas sky with the three celebrities and crew mates Amanda Nguyen, Aisha Bowe, and Kerianne Flynn, who enjoyed around just a few minutes in space before returning to earth as part of an 11-minute historic space tourism flight.

Blue Origin running their business based on feminist virtue signaling might explain why they started long before SpaceX and are now way behind.

And why am I supposed to care? Overly made up and coiffed women are now going to turn me into a liberal/progressive/commie supporter? Because they were weightless for 4 minutes? Not going to happen. They were no different than your kids riding in the backseat of your van while you drive. They contribute nothing meaningful to the journey. I imagine we will be seeing a Cover Girl or shampoo commercial shot in "space". I am waiting for an environmental impact report on the pollution the rocket caused blasting off. I mean it was evil to pour all those pollutants into our air. There is not one person in the whole bunch that I find impressive or worth spending time with.

How many organizations are launching people into space now. Besides Blue Origins, there is NASA, SpaceX, and Boeing? Think both China and Russia are doing stuff. That makes six? Are there any other nations or organizations?

It was nothing but a publicity stunt, and can we please stop with this female empowerment BS. Enough already. What's next? A program highlighting the achievement of females getting their driver's license?

Oprah was there, in tears. Melodrama for the cameras? Or perhaps genuine because Gayle got the publicity and not her?

Not space and not a crew, just passengers. The X-15 plane few as high in the early 1960s but it was going a lot faster. When the Blue Origin tops out its not moving at all, then starts to falls back.

Who dug up Katy Perry? And Gayle King? And Bezos's honey has never been known for hiding her light under a barrel. What is Blue Origin?

Anything "All female this or all female that " ends up demeaning real women and contributing to keeping them second class citizens. Vote for me because I am a woman is the worst. A female carrier pilot with PMS trying to land a multimillion dollar jet on a pitching carrier deck is not that far fetched an example. And it can get deadlier. The jet that flipped over in Toronto was an all female crew apparently put together for woke points.

Just watched the lift off and landing. Going to space in a replica of a male member for 4 minutes and coming down in the head. It is like the movie Space Balls.

#6: India sent a probe to land on the moon a couple of years ago, but I think it made a harder landing than they planned for and it stopped communicating shortly afterward. It isn't clear what they will do to follow-up.

A Disney world ride for the rich and famous.
I am glad they enjoyed their trip, why not, if you have the cash or are sleeping with someone who does.
But it isn't exactly a space adventure, like the other poster said, It's a carnival ride for those who can afford it.

Maybe they were mimicking the plot from The Reluctant Astronaut with Don Knotts. To demonstrate the fool-proofness of their ship, they sent it up with a bunch of morons on board to prove it’ll take anyone up and return intact.

When you train for a mission for only two days, it's not real astronautics. Those seats were not earned, they were bought - likely with someone else's money, most likely earned by a man.

They were all passengers.

The mission was shortened because the ship would only turn to the left.
