WAUKESHA, Wis. - The liberal-leaning candidate is projected to win a high-profile and historically expensive election in Wisconsin on Tuesday, protecting progressive majority control of the battleground state's Supreme Court, which is likely to rule on crucial issues like congressional redistricting, voting and labor rights, and abortion. The Associated Press projects that Dane County Circuit Court Judge Susan Crawford will defeat Brad Schimel, a former state attorney general who currently serves as a state circuit court judge in Waukesha County. Schimel, the conservative-aligned candidate in the race, was endorsed by President Donald Trump.

This wasn't a referendum. Polling across the country easily disproven that. This was the Dems doing what the Republicans did leading up to November - getting votes banked early AND urging those who didn't vote early to get out and vote. The right did not do that. They assumed their voters would all vote early or show up for this special election because of their love for Trump. They didn't explain the importance of it or do anything to mobilize the vote until almost the very last minute.

#2: If you're right then the Republican campaign was wrongly run from the get go. Why not tell voters to get out and bank their votes early, as in 2024? What they did was a replay of the 2022 and earlier playbooks.. with predictable results. And remember, this is in a state where former Gov. Walker could write whole books about how the Democrats run dirty elections. People's Republic of Wisconsin... Glad I don't live there...

The referendum to require Voter ID won by a nearly 2-1 margin. In the long run, that will hurt Democrats very badly.

There are reports that several polling places ran out of ballots. Many voters were denied their vote as a result. This does not say anything positive about the integrity of the results.

Seems like a small win, but having voter ID enshrined in the state constitution is more important in the long run. It DOES, however, have that same odd "flavor" that the 2024 AZ election had. Had enormous turnout and votes for Trump, but somehow, Gallego (D-cartel) got more votes than Kamala, and the (relatively) unknown libertarian candidate ended up receiving more votes than Kari Lake. Along with the abortion abomination in AZ that also passed overwhelmingly, it seemed to be all over the place vote-wise. Is this the new playbook, perhaps? Let the pubbies have some wins, but dems will also win some smaller victories, which will add up over time to control more and more of our government and populace... You DO have to hand it to Scott Pressler, tho! That man is a tireless warrior who needs to be put in charge of the RNC now. On to New Jersey, Mr Pressler! Godspeed!!

So, they openly stated that the Supreme Court in Wisconsin is NOT impartial, but a extremely partisan group. Democrats were motivated to take back the House in 2026 with hopes of stopping Trump and Republicans with the likely outcome of another manufactured impeachment (more partisan). Republicans weren't focuses as they should have on this type of election which will likely come back to haunt them ALL in each state.

Higher education institutions in Ohio are barred from taking a stance on marriage after Republican Gov. Mike DeWine signed a law at the end of March deeming belief in the legal and religious union as “controversial.” Republicans billed the Enact Advance Ohio Higher Education Act as the best way to eliminate universities’ racist admission and hiring practices and expand ideological diversity by explicitly outlawing “political and ideological litmus tests” and requiring schools commit to “seek[ing] out invited speakers who have diverse ideological or political views.” The law also, however, requires institutions to declare they will not “endorse or oppose” “controversial beliefs,” including marriage.
