France has accused the Trump administration of interfering in the decisions of private French companies after the U.S. embassy said the American federal government would no longer work with businesses with so-called diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies.
In addition to taking on DEI at home, the Trump White House is apparently intent on taking on the woke agenda abroad as well.
According to a report in the French newspaper of record, Le Figaro, the U.S. embassy in Paris informed several companies in France that it would be ending business relationships with firms that engage in discrimination.

How can choosing who gets government contracts violate the First Amendment? Anyway, what does the US Constitution have to do with France?
This wearisome sense of entitlement has to stop.

And President Trump, we respectfully suggest you consider renaming the UK, just Britain. Sadly it’s becoming no longer ‘Great Britain,’ even with your lovely properties there.

As stated, it is NOT DEI per se which is being targeted. Rather, it is the inherent discrimination which underlies DEI policies which will not be tolerated. But this should be expanded to block all international products made by those who are being discriminated against such as the Uyghurs who are essentially slave laborers in Communist China.

Be careful. If France gets mad enough they might surrender.

So now France supports discrimination or is it just the government of France? Seems like this "new" anti-Discrimination policy means the US will no longer be imposing the sick DEI values of the Democrats on France. I would think they would welcome this.

There is no RIGHT to do business with the US government. If you don't meet the requirements, you don't get to do business. This includes discrimination and DEI. The French and European Union pick and choose who they do business with every day. They just don't like being called out for their discriminatory policies.

Turnabout is fair play. Let's ask some American companies about the EU demands that have been placed on their businesses.

Parisians are being stabbed and raped in the streets by muslims and they are still promoting DEI? Some people are unteachable.

It's not interference when everyone is free to choose and one of the choices is something you don't like.

It's our money. We get to decide what companies will get it. The French aren't entitled to it, although they probably believe they are.

Perhaps the French should serve up some cake...for it's people...the government sure doesn't care what happens to them physically for mentally ....maybe our wonderful Bobby Kennedy could say a few words about body and mind alertness...he's wonderful and has already done a lot for US....but alas. I don't think the French leaders care what happens to France....they want to be paid by the EU to vote the "right" way...and let the peasants eat cake....

"ending business relationships with firms that engage in discrimination".
That's exactly what it is...discrimination. Years ago, we ended discrimination against foreigners, blacks etc. Now it's straight white males that lose out on a job to someone less qualified yet checks the right boxes. Time for it all to end. Hire on merit. Having to work with an unqualified slacker who has the job only because of DEI only creates animosity and resentment by their fellow workers and is bad for the company in the long run.

Lefties who boycotted South Africa over apartheid now defend racial discrimination in France. Go figure.
