A group of Columbia University grads tore up their diplomas on campus over the weekend to protest the school’s cooperation with the Trump administration, and the feds’ detention of former student and anti-Israel demonstration leader Mahmoud Khalil. The rally, which took place during the Ivy League university’s annual Alumni Day celebration Saturday, included students as well as a few dozen graduates of Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs — with the crowd chanting, “Free Palestine!” (Photo) “It’s not easy to do this, with none of us doing this lightly. There’s no joy in this,” said Amali Tower, a 2009 SIPA graduate

When Thoreau graduated from Harvard he chose not to pay for a diploma. He said the sheep had better need of it. In the Wizard of Oz the Wizard told the Scarecrow that he didn't need a brain, just a diploma. I'd be willing to bet that most of these diploma destroyers are not from America. Most Americans would not tear up something that their parents paid thousands of dollar for.

China is once more sending a message to Taiwan, and perhaps indirectly to the United States. On Tuesday, the Chinese military conducted a series of exercises involving sea, air, ground, and rocket forces around Taiwan - and Chinese Communist Party officials have stated that the intent was to serve as a warning to Taiwan. China’s military launched large-scale drills around Taiwan Tuesday to send a "severe warning" and a message of "forceful containment against Taiwan independence," Beijing officials said. Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense said it had tracked 19 Chinese navy vessels in the waters surrounding the island in a 24-hour period from 6 a.m. Monday until 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Zeldin happily reported that the move would save taxpayers roughly $600,000 annually. In a video posted to X on Monday, Zeldin explained that the shrine, built during the Biden administration, cost a mind-numbing $4 million to construct. And yet it brought in fewer than 2,000 visitors. The former New York gubernatorial candidate also pointed out that the timeline presented in the museum's displays somehow left Trump's first term era completely unmentioned.

Washington— House Republicans forced a bill through committee Tuesday that would limit the reach of so-called “rogue” judges who have paused some of President Trump’s executive orders from taking effect — including his invocation of an 18th-century law to deport vicious Venezuelan gang members without trial. The GOP-led House Rules Committee voted 9-4 along party lines to send the No Rogue Rulings Act, which would do away with nationwide injunctions unless they apply to specific parties bringing a complaint, to the floor of the lower chamber for a full House vote on Wednesday. A senior GOP aide said the measure is headed for approval, but it was unlikely the Senate
