Brandon Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced Friday that the Trump administration had granted permission to West Virginia to ban the use of federal food assistance dollars to buy soft drinks. At an event in Martinsburg, WV, RFK Jr. gave West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrissey a first-of-its-kind waiver to permit the ban and had a message for the rest of the country: “Apply for a waiver to my agency, and we’re going to give it to you.” “Taxpayer dollars should be targeted toward nutritious foods,” Gov. Patrick Morrisey said at a lectern emblazoned with a “MAHA Starts Here” sign.

Excellent!! Well done, WV and RFKJ!!

I don't know why the left would protest. They've tried to excessively tax soft drinks for quite some time. However, their knee-jerk reaction is to always protest whatever the PDJT 2.0 administration proposes.

You can buy Hunt Brothers pizza with food stamps, which is a bespoke pizza made while you wait. Food stamps should never cover anything that I consider a luxury. Only the basics such as milk, bread, flour, vegetables and the like. Nothing convenient, nothing processed, nothing tasty. If you don't like that, get a job.

It's about time. Watching the holders of EBT and other government gift cards going through the checkout station with multiple carts full of chips, soft drinks, donuts, etc. is one of the most irritating sights in life. The people pushing the carts are often wider than the cart.

Why is the federal government still in the business of providing food stamps to anyone? I cannot leave any grocery store in my small town without being asked as I swipe my card if I want to round up to support the local food bank? There are PSAs all the time on television about supporting your local food bank, etc. At the most, food stamps provided by the federal government should be only for an emergency or of a very short duration.

At least make them stop using corn sweeteners and go back to natural sugar. Its pretty bad when you have to buy Mexican Coke to get a decent soda. They use real sugar. Corn sweeteners have been linked to type 2 diabetes in later life.

I never figured I'd see there be building tensions between the United States and Europe, but here we are. To be fair, though, there should have been tensions a long time ago. After all, while many European nations like to consider themselves free societies, they're nothing of the sort. For example, gun rights are all but nonexistent for most people there. That's been the case for a long time. But now, we're seeing that our European "allies" aren't on the same page elsewhere. Famously, 60 Minutes did a segment where they followed German law enforcement as they kicked in doors over memes.

You’ve likely heard the phrase, “If you find yourself in a hole, stop digging.” Seems like good advice, especially when the hole is of your own making. But watching the Democratic Party’s ongoing meltdown—highlighted by their most recent “off the rails” DNC meeting—it’s clear they’ve lost the shovel, the ladder, and the will to climb out. Let’s be clear: it’s not hard to fix the Democratic Party’s problems. They know exactly what’s broken. They just don’t want to fix it. Instead of offering ideas, vision, and solutions, they’ve tripled down on their Trump Derangement Syndrome. A recent DNC event—meant to be a serious discussion of strategy and policy—

The radical left has a pathological hatred of Elon Musk for having the audacity to want to clean up waste and fraud in government. By now, you’ve heard about how these unhinged leftists have taken their hatred of Elon Musk to a criminal level, firebombing Tesla dealerships and vandalizing Tesla vehicles they happen to come across in public. These vandals are learning the hard way that attacking vehicles equipped with 360-degree surveillance cameras isn't exactly a genius move. A couple of recent examples have me wondering if these lunatics are the dumbest criminals.

But Carson, 50, apparently has no qualms — at least until The Post inquired — about cruising around in one of Musk’s Teslas. The latest House disbursement records show Carson claimed almost $11,000 of public money last year to pay Tesla Finance LLC for the lease of one of its cars. Carson was one of more than 40 lawmakers last year who made use of a green scheme that allows them to access public money to lease a vehicle for use in their constituency so long as it is listed by the Environmental Protection Agency as a “low greenhouse gas emitting vehicle,” the Washington Free Beacon reported.

Democrats calling for the resignation of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth got more fodder for their demands when a major media outlet dropped a story that he brought his wife to “sensitive” meetings, adding fuel to the “Signalgate” fire. According to The Wall Street Journal, Jennifer Hegseth attended a March 6 “high level meeting” with her husband and U.K. Secretary of Defense John Healey, a day after the U.S. said it would suspend sharing intelligence with Ukraine in NATO’s proxy war on Russia. According to the outlet, Mrs. Hegseth also attended a NATO meeting during a trip to Brussels in February,

The Los Angeles Times’ surgeon owner explained why he believes “it’s not a coincidence” that cancer rates were on the rise in the wake of COVID: “Now you understand what keeps me awake at night.” Propaganda, blanket responses and the rampant spread of actual mis- and disinformation as it relates to COVID were considered by many to be integral in the dramatic distrust of medical professionals that had permeated society. Sitting down with Tucker Carlson, Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong suggested a connection between the shots and cancer that stunned the commentator into reacting, “It sounds like you’re describing what could be like the worst human health crisis in history.”

Late last night, President Trump signed an executive order "to end collective bargaining with Federal unions" at more than two dozen government agencies. In theory this puts an end to collective bargaining for more than half of all federal workers. President Donald Trump signed an executive order Thursday evening abolishing union rights at more than two dozen federal agencies and offices, in a major expansion of the administration’s efforts to shrink the federal government. The White House cited national security concerns for terminating workers’ ability to bargain collectively, but the order applies at agencies with both direct and indirect links to national security.
