Hooray: Ben & Jerry’s owner Unilever
is dropping the anti-Israel lunacy

Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food got me through untold breakups in college. Drowning my sorrows in a pint was a great consolation prize for my heartbreak. But in 2021, I soured on the brand when it announced plans to stop selling its ice cream in what it referred to as the “Occupied Palestinian Territory.” Its hostility to Israeli policy grew even more poisonous after Oct. 7. The good news? Recent pushback by critics — and consumers — prompted B&J’s parent company, Unilever, to respond, just as other companies have been shedding their DEI and woke images. And that’s major grounds for hope.

No matter what they drop, they're pretty much dead to me. There are plenty of good ice cream makers out there, and I make my own ice cream. You can do like Cold Stone and use a base flavor (I like vanilla bean) and add whatever you want to it. I make a mean butter pecan ice cream too.

Nope, the wounds are too deep and they have been woke since even before it was cool to be woke. The two communist hippies went too far to be forgiven. "Dead to me" is the perfect response.

Straight out of college, I was on a business trip and decided to try some B&J. It wasn't worth the price, IMO. Their positions even back when I was young put me off ever trying another flavor.

Ben and Jerry's never should have taken an anti-Israel stand in the first place. They were cheering for murdering ba*tards.

I'm somewhat confused...aren't Ben and Jerry actually Jewish? Don't they know that their support for Muslims wouldn't mean a thing if they ever had to live in a Muslim majority environment? Lastly...just how stupid are they?

Ben & Jerry's is on the same level as Bud Lite. Dead to me, plus there are too many good alternatives out there, to lock into a single brand. And I have access to Blue Bell, best ice cream ever.

I'd love to see these losers just completely go away. I haven't bought their products in years. And it's a shame, because they have some good stuff, but it's not worth the moral cost!

It sounds like Unilever is getting tired of B&J and their antics. I'd offer to sell the whole business back to them (at a substantial premium) and tell them "put up or shut up."

I have never purchased B&J ice cream. Might as well keep it that way, especially since I am brand-loyal to a certain premium ice cream, which I purchase when it is on sale, which is often enough to satisy my cravings.

One evening about twenty years ago, at the height of my shortwave radio zeal, I was sitting at my desk tuning in Deutsche Welle’s (DW) English broadcast. That night, the well-known German public radio service was airing a program on the use of data from the Dachau Hypothermia Experiments, data they said would be used in modern medical research. I was shocked. It felt like a shadowy figure from a damp corner of a Nazi death camp had crept through the airwaves into my safe little radio cubby.

“We welcome this continued relief for tens of thousands of refugees who will now have the opportunity to restart their lives in the United States,” said Melissa Keaney, the progressive lawyer for the elite-funded, anti-borders International Refugee Assistance Project. In a second courtroom in Seattle, another federal judge ordered the Trump administration to keep paying the quasi-government agencies that settle the refugees in Americans’ crowded housing, schools, and workplaces, such as in Springfield, Ohio.

For years, the Democratic political figures, liberal activists, and the resistance movement writ large have drawn morbid comfort from the fact that Donald Trump’s supporters were, frankly, quite old. The Trump phenomenon, they believed, had an expiration date sometime in the near future: Young voters would replace their parents and grandparents as demographics shifted, and all would be right — or rather, left — with the world. The 2024 election has shattered these hopes. Trump’s gains with young people are so massive that Gen Z might as well be called Gen Trump. Data guru David Shor laid bare this stark reality in an interview with The New York Times’ Ezra Klein last week;

More migrants are fleeing into Canada across the border than are coming south into the US after President Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration, sources told The Post. Homeland Security sources said that there are “lots of northbounders” now running scared and “self-deporting” from the US with Trump back in office. In a remote stretch of Washington state, border agents report seeing an average of five migrants crossing illegally north into Canada each day. The numbers were starting to pick up even before the Trump administration began in full force.

As RedState reported, the Fort Myers, Florida, City Council scheduled a Monday vote to approve Agreement 287(g). This would have allowed the Fort Myers Police Department to partner with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the enforcement of immigration laws and facilitation in the arrest and repatriation of illegal immigrants. The council got into a heated debate and ended with a deadlocked vote of 3-3. The three dissenting council members, one of them a self-proclaimed immigrant, held hands, cried, and bemoaned the situation they were being placed in:

For years, the left advanced utter untruths for cheap partisan purposes that it knew at the time were all false. And now when caught, they just shrug and say they were lying all along. Once it was known that the first COVID-19 case originated in or near a Chinese communist virology lab engineering gain-of-function deadly viruses — with help from Western agencies — the left went into full persecution mode. They damned as incompetent, racist and conspiratorial any who dared follow logic and evidence to point out that the Chinese government and its military were both culpable for the virus and lying.

Later that decade, some drug companies began giving the general public more direct access to the information, according to the FDA, leading to the advertising that we see on TV today.
