Politico Astonished By Academia's 'Stunning

Should we feign surprise? Academia administrators spent most of the past two years surrendering to their own students, or at least the ones that looked scary ... while leaving all the rest to fend for themselves. With that in mind, one has to look skeptically at Politico's claim that "universities are caving to Trump with a stunning speed and scope." They may be caving, but the speed and scope of their pusillanimity hardly seems stunning: Colleges and universities across the country are capitulating to President Donald Trump with staggering speed, moving to slash progressive policies and crack down on student activism as they face compounding threats from an administration hellbent

Their capitulation has nothing to do with character, Patriotism, or Academics. MONEY. They don't give a good god damn about America ,Education, Students or ethics. It's the money trump is either cutting from them of the threat of it. America's Colleges are no better than the fake schools that take people's money for fake classes

I think that, ultimately, it's all about POWER. And money buys power, buys access to those with power, and provides funds to bribe those in power. In this particular case, they need the money to 'educate' the next generation of Leftist foot-soldiers and useful idiots. And it is a Leftist article of faith that the best kind of money is 'other people's money'.

The Progs in Academia, Media, and the Judicial system are like young children pushing the boundries as much as they can, Not necessarily for Principles, but to gain the Power to impose whatever they choose ... whenever they want. They know they've overshot the mark and gone too far, so when 'outed' they quickly surrender, in order to try and keep the momentum they've gained. To do otherwise would risk the total dismantlement of their corrupt and amoral movement. Which might (hopefully) happen anyhow. They are not done disrupting. The attacks on Tesla prove that. There will be more of this. It needs to be forcefully dealt with and severe penalties need to be exposed. The coming fight in Congress to reign in the Lawfare of a non-impartial Judiciary needs to be 1st on the list.

Politico would be astonished if Joe Biden chose Butter Pecan to fill his ice cream cone instead of Vanilla. Our universities have been focused solely on money for a couple of decades with the process of education being a minor annoyance that they must pretend is their reason for existence. If you lower standards enough, anything is possible.

The globalist prime minister of Australia, who has a history of anti-Trump bashing, is now reportedly devastated that Donald Trump cut U.S. funding to Australian universities. Leaving aside the obvious fact that American taxpayers shouldn’t be funding any foreign universities, it is amusing to note how leftist foreign leaders with a track record of sneering at and criticizing Americans are suddenly panicked by the loss of American money, either via grant terminations or tariffs. Apparently we were supposed to be the world‘s wallet endlessly, no matter how much other nations abused and used us.

Columbia University has agreed to cede to Donald Trump's unprecedented demands in negotiations over $400 million in federal funding that the administration revoked earlier this month. Columbia has agreed to "ban masks, empower 36 campus police officers with new powers to arrest students and appoint a senior vice provost with broad authority to oversee the department of Middle East, South Asian and African Studies as well as the Center for Palestine Studies," reports the Wall Street Journal. In addition to the nine Trump's demands that the university had to meet before talks on restoring the $400 million in cuts could begin, the university has agreed to make additional efforts

Liberals are in full-blown panic mode over President Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Democrats in Congress are hysterically crying “constitutional crisis,” while unhinged activists are lashing out at Tesla vehicles and showrooms—all because Elon Musk dares to support cutting government waste. Conservatives have long suspected there’s a deeper reason why the left goes berserk over efforts to rein in reckless spending. Now, the New York Times has accidentally said the quiet part out loud—the left’s political machine is fueled by your tax dollars.

While 51 percent approve, 47 percent disapprove of his performance. The president has not fallen below 50 percent approval during his presidency, according to data dating back to January 23. The poll’s margin of error is ± 2.5 percent. While Trump enjoys positive marks from the American public for his performance,

The Trump administration will be revoking the legal status of hundreds of thousands of Latin American and Haitian migrants welcomed into the U.S. under a Biden-era sponsorship process, urging them to self-deport or face arrest and removal by deportation agents. The termination of their work permits and deportation protections under an immigration authority known as parole will take effect in late April, 30 days after March 25, according to a notice posted by the federal government. The move will affect immigrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela who flew to the U.S. under a Biden administration program, known as CHNV, that was designed to reduce illegal immigration

Reid joined Don Lemon on The Don Lemon Show this week and balked at Trump’s continued push for America to absorb Canada. Canadian officials have pushed back on this being an option, but Trump has remained steadfast in his desire. According to Reid, Canada would only become a new American state if the two countries went to war. She made clear her money is on Canada in that showdown. “Grampy Trump, let’s talk. Let’s talk. The constitutional amendment to loosen the so-called debt brake also allows for de-facto unlimited spending on defence and security. The upper house of parliament, which represents the 16 German states, passed the bill with the necessary two-thirds majority after Tuesday's vote in the lower house, the Bundestag.

Australian universities are crying foul after the Trump administration asks questions that put $386 million in research grants in jeopardy. The bone of contention was a questionnaire sent to Australian grant recipients asking if the institution had "ties to communist or socialist parties, receive funding from China and it only recognises male and female sexes." The grants were frozen in January, shortly after President Trump was inaugurated, but were unfrozen at some time thereafter. This new round of questions is the second time the universities were queried, but this time, it has their attention.
