Track Runner Who Hit Opponent with Baton
Holds Rally After Assault Charge

The Virginia high school track runner seen striking another runner in the head with a baton on a viral video, held a rally for supporters after being charged with assault and battery. Alaila Everett of I.C. Norcom High School was seen striking fellow runner Kaelen Tucker in the head at the Virginia state championships earlier this month. [Tweet, video] The blow sent Tucker crashing to the ground, clutching the back of her head. Later, she was diagnosed with a concussion and possible skull fracture. Since the incident, Everett has vehemently proclaimed her innocence, claiming she would never intentionally hurt someone and that the baton strike was accidental.

Comments:

Ridiculous!! Where is the rally for the girl whose head she tried to bash in??!!

When you carry a baton in a relay race, it comes upward from your waist to about shoulder height in front of you as you pump your arms then comes back down in a low arc back past your waist. At no time could it come down on somebody's head around you unless it is done deliberately. This girl is a cheater and a liar.

I've watched this from about every angle available and there is no way this was not deliberate. She pulled back her arm, she angled her torso, she aimed it... Also, after striking her opponent, she never slowed, she never looked at her to check on her, she never asked about her once handing off her baton. Intentional strike.

I've watched this video more than a couple of times. You can absolutely see her raise the baton above shoulder height, take aim at her, and then swing. This was not a trick of the light or of the camera. This was not a mishap of her baton somehow getting caught in the other girl's jersey. This was a deliberate act and no amount of tears and denial is going to change that fact.

The smooth, repetitive running motion suddenly loses a beat when she cocked the baton for an overhand strike to her opponent's head. Another rule of track - when being passed, the burden is on you to give room to the faster runner.

The baton strike was deliberate, malicious, and selfish, as the video proves. She was getting passed on the outside...which is not all that common at this level of competition...so she was being made to look slow, which likely mader her get angry. I'm guessing the baton strike was totally impulsive, rather than pre-meditated...although I'm really uncertain as to which is worse: someone who cannot control their own anger, or someone who channels it beforehand. Either way, just wondering how the perp will find a productive role in civilized society.

Since returning to the White House in January, President Donald Trump has been met with an unprecedented legal onslaught from far-left activist judges and radical groups determined to sabotage his administration at every turn. These rogue judges—many appointed by Clinton, Obama, and Biden—have launched a relentless legal coup to undermine the will of the American people and prevent Trump from carrying out his constitutional duties. Appearing on The War Room with Steve Bannon, Josh Hammer, Senior Counsel for the Article III Project, warned that what America is witnessing is no ordinary judicial activism—it’s a full-blown judicial insurrection. So far this year, President Trump has faced 125 legal challenges in just two months.

The Heritage Foundation's Oversight Project did a deep dive into Biden signatures and said most of what they saw was done by autopen. That raised many questions: had he even approved them, and were they valid? Then an updated story came out with a NY Post report where an unnamed aide was suspected of using the autopen without it being clear if Biden had approved.

The left is desperate to convince America that President Trump has no mandate, that he’s dividing the country, and that voters don’t support his efforts. They repeat these claims repeatedly, hoping that if they say it enough, people will believe it. But there’s just one problem. They’re wrong on every single count. A political mandate comes from the people, not the media, not the establishment, and certainly not the loudest voices on Twitter. The 2024 election results made one thing abundantly clear: the American people chose strength, leadership, and results over the chaos and incompetence of the left.

There’s a reason Democrats hate the free flow of information on X, Facebook, and other social media, and it’s not just that they simply hate hearing differing opinions, though that’s the result. If people think for themselves – and the more effective way to empower people to do that is to give them as much information as possible and allow them to draw their own conclusions – what they advocate for would be laughed off the stage. They’d never win another election, except in places where they fully control the education system and have created a welfare-dependent economy.
