Democratic strategist James Carville said during a Thursday podcast that he was in San Francisco instructing numerous party donors that “stunts” are not an effective way to combat President Donald Trump. On “Lunch with Jamie,” Carville pointed to Democrats’ behavior during Trump’s March 4 congressional address, where Texas Democratic Rep. Al Green interrupted the speech and numerous lawmakers held up signs. Carville suggested the party’s approach lacked dignity and was not suited for the moment.

Comments:

Looks like Carvile is the voice of reason with the dims.

Stunts can be effective if done well. The real problem is the nature of the dem party. As we saw for the past 4 years, it is amazingly incompetent and immature. so, it's not surprising that any "stunt" they try reeks of a 6th grade prank, with no dignity or sophistication and an edge of immature nastiness. The larger problem for the dems is that their brand has been degraded. People EXPECT the dems to act this way, just like they expect the media to act like Maddow or the people on The VIew and be wrong all the time. When the default expectation is that you are going to be immature, nasty, and wrong all the time, no reasonable person is going to look to you for answers. Now the onus is on the people of the party to PROVE they are not like that. Unfortunately for dems, almost everyone in the party is a walking stereotype for exactly what we now expect from them. Dems have jumped the shark.

Has anyone noticed that all this Democratic behavior that "lacks dignity" and us inappropriate " for the moment" generally started and got worse with Nancy Pelosi's leadership? It got worse as more Dem women were elected and she had more support and encouragement for her behavior. The height was reached with Nancy's undignified hissy fit tearing up an official government document after Trump's State of the Union at the end of his first term. I don't want to hear any feminist tell me that the world would be governed so much better if women were in charge. Nancy and Hillary's friends prove that wrong. They are petty, petulant, and driven by their worst emotions.

Stunts can be very effective if they must be making fun to true things. Trump's trash truck or making fries worked because they were playing off the Democrat/media crazy lies. In comparison, having congressmen hold up signs saying someone lies when just the opposite is obvious to everyone, is not going to be an effective stunt. So far all the stunts of the left are playing off things or issues they made up and therefore look silly.

US President Donald Trump has threatened a 200% tariff on any alcohol coming to the US from the European Union (EU) in the latest twist of an escalating trade war. The threat is a response to the EU's plans for a 50% tax on imports of US-produced whiskey as part of its retaliation to Trump's tariffs on all steel and aluminium imports to the US. The US president called for the immediate removal of the EU's "nasty" tariff on US whiskey, calling the bloc "hostile and abusive" and "formed for the sole purpose of taking advantage of the United States".

Former Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign became obsessed with the height of her chair during media hits and other appearances, according to an excerpt of “FIGHT: Inside the Wildest Battle for the White House” by Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes. Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, sat down for their first interview of their campaign in late August, more than a month in, taking questions from CNN’s Dana Bash. Observing that the former vice president looked smaller than Walz, campaign officials worried that would reinforce the ongoing criticism that she was “incapable, or afraid of answering tough questions on her own,” ...

Some of them are people like Mahmoud Khalil, who spent all his time agitating in support of Hamas terrorists. But if you dig deeper, the true story is even more appalling: Columbia is using the prestige of its elite undergraduate school to bring in thousands of mediocre foreigners who want a Columbia degree in computer science, engineering, or a similar field. Columbia admits them because they pay full-freight tuition, boosting their bottom line while glutting the American job market and lowering wages for STEM workers.

A new four-lane highway cutting through tens of thousands of acres of protected Amazon rainforest is being built for the COP30 climate summit in the Brazilian city of Belém. It aims to ease traffic to the city, which will host more than 50,000 people - including world leaders - at the conference in November. The state government touts the highway's "sustainable" credentials, but some locals and conservationists are outraged at the environmental impact. The Amazon plays a vital role in absorbing carbon for the world and providing biodiversity, and many say this deforestation contradicts the very purpose of a climate summit.

There’s no way to sugarcoat this for our friends on the left: the Democratic Party is imploding. After their humiliating defeat in the government funding battle, a devastating new CNN poll shows the party's favorability has cratered to an abysmal 29%—the lowest since 1992. The numbers don’t lie; this is a spectacular fall from grace. The party has hemorrhaged support, suffering a jaw-dropping 20-point collapse in favorability since January 2021, when Joe Biden was inaugurated. Even their own base is abandoning ship, with Democratic Party favorability among supporters plummeting from 81% to a pathetic 63%. Democrats can't even keep their own house in order.
