- It’s good to be king — or a district judge. Judge Amir Ali has no power to appropriate money or spend it. Neither does he have any authority over the conduct of US foreign policy. Ali is not letting that stop him in his escalating conflict with the Trump administration over USAID spending, though. The judge won a modified victory in the Supreme Court, which opted not to stop him from trying to force the Trump administration to spend money that it has currently paused. In a dissent expressing shock and dismay that the court is letting Ali proceed on his current course,

Congress could impeach him, but don’t count on it.

This is a nationwide district court problem that Congress needs to fix.

We didn't elect any of them to make national decisions. Ali doesn't have any type of mandate since he, "a progressive activist" was approved by the Senate 50-49, if you want to talk about mandates. Maybe he should fund the $2 billion instead of smooching off the US taxpayers. If the court opted not to stop Ali, somebody else should. Republican-led congress? Do your jobs, and stop being so chicken poop! President Trump, tell this clown to pound sand.

Show me where the Constitution says the Executive branch must defer to the Judicial branch. It isn’t there in any form. The President is the only elected Federal official so if anyone speaks for the nation, it is he. If Congress thinks the President has overreached, they can impeach him.

Ali was apparently born in Canada. So was he an alien at birth then having been naturalized after he entered the USA as a student? If so Ali who was nominated to be a Federal Judge by the Biden crew in the last days of that incompetent administration, would be constitutionally ineligible to ever be elected to the US Presidency. If all that is true, how could Ali tell an elected President of the USA how he must run US foreign policy and be backed up by the US Supreme Court in such leftist partisan efforts? You would think that the wimpy Republicans would look into all that!

If decisions made in a federal district court do not generally create binding precedent and only apply to that district, then how can an order issued by a judge in that same court be considered to cover the entire country?

That guy is a judge not the head of the "Treasury" who runs the department. He is out of line.

If one district judge can say the money must be paid, why can't another district judge make a nationwide ruling that USAID cannot disburse any money to anyone until a complete audit affirms that all federal regulations are being complied with by all the receiving contractors and all the money is being spent as designated? Have the auditors found discrepancies or lack of proper record keeping? Don't deny, audit for as long as it takes. Of course we will pay the money if all the rules have been followed.

The government should pay them vouchers conditional on the court's final determination in the main case.

This is getting ridiculous!
Whether some district or federal judge ruling from an unrelated court in some obscure town has the authority to command the President, our only constitutional, elected, federal Executive, should be adjudicated separately by the USSC for once and for all.

Senator Cruz, please pick up the white courtesy phone…
Get off your duff and do your constitutional duty. Impeach this fool and send a message to other rogue judges that they do not trump the President of the United States. Another suggestion, please pass a law that states no naturalized citizen or duel citizen can serve as a judge. Only natural born citizens may have the privilege of serving as a judge. Guys like Ali should never be considered for such an important position. I am sick and tired of these foreign born judges and representatives. We need American born individuals to serve in these important positions. There should be an understanding that there are positions in the government that are to be filled by natural born citizens only. Personally, I would exclude any democrat at this time because I believe they are a threat to our Republic, but that’s just me. If we could just get rid of these foreign born judges, that would be great start.
