Democrats are in the political wilderness and don’t seem to understand how they found themselves there. In response, they recently held a retreat to try to figure out how to appeal to voters again, especially working class voters. It’s amazing that they needed a retreat for this with consultants and lists of recommendations, but they get a few points for effort, right? Democrats think their problem is a messaging problem, that people just aren't getting it.
Now, the second part of that axiomatically implies that the American people are stupid, that they just don't understand how good the Democrats would be for them, so voters reject them. The first part is also ridiculous. Because it isn't just the messaging; it's the radical ideas and the policies that the Democrats embrace that the American people are rejecting.
