Washington—U.S. Agency for International Development workers — many in tears — carted away belongings through cheering crowds in a final visit to their now-closed headquarters Thursday as the Trump administration’s rapid dismantling of the congressionally authorized agency moved into its final stages.
Notices sent out in mass mailings this week are terminating over 90% of USAID’s contracts for humanitarian and development work around the world, and the Supreme Court has temporarily blocked a judge’s order requiring the administration to release billions of dollars in foreign aid.

Over 90% of the contracts for humanitarian and development aid around the world isa foul lie. What 90% is going to is suburban Virginia based NGOs owned by relatives and cronies of Left wing politicians.

"Humanitarian and development work around the world"
BS. Things like “$15 million for condoms to the Taliban through USAID” That's just one of a list of the most outrageous things USAID has P*****d away our money on. Hopefully, the ax is coming and will only leave a security guard for their empty building.

Typical AP article. No mention of how this money was actually being spent. I understand that losing a job can be traumatic but these people were avidly pursuing a liberal agenda that didn’t promote US interests in any way. They got busted. This is a prime example of the deep state bureaucrat BS that we fully support Trump/Musk rooting out.

While these folks hyperventilate, what they don't realize is that many of us have lost jobs. In my family alone
: money needed for Vietnam closed a faciity,
because the steel company closed, and because of computers consolidating operations. I can name many more involving friends. Yes, it's a tramatic experience but they'll live. It's a character builder.

The USAID closure is a very beautiful thing to watch. Our Marxist compatriots have been gelded.

They worked for a government sponsored money laundering scheme.
If they want to blame someone, tell them to blame their congress critters for ignoring their fiscal responsibilities.

When you run a Money Laundry, expect that laundry to go out of business when there is no more money to be laundered. The former launderers can learn to code instead of working at laundering money.

Do they realize that Democrat corruption caused them to lose their jobs?

I guess it didn't bother them one whit that our tax money was going to help terrorists? Good riddance to all of them.

I would probably cry too if I lost a dream job where I could just pass out money to anyone and everyone and not have to account for one penny. It would make one feel like an unbridled Santa Claus.

I imagine some of them were doing their jobs to the best of their ability and for those they will find more productive jobs if they want to as others have stated above it has happened to them, in my case it was the best thing that ever happened. Consider the expense of just paying 5,600 employees x ~$80,000 per year = $448,000,000 per year not including benefits. If USAID was dispensing money and insuring it was being spent to the benefit of the US it would be one thing, but they weren't, hence they are unnecessary.
