Until recently, the U.S. and the rest of the developed world pursued a costly global policy of “net-zero” carbon emissions to battle the supposed ill-effect of climate change. But President Donald Trump has changed all that by ending the U.S.’ commitment to the global net-zero effort. Will today’s highly partisan voters support Trump? The latest I&I/TIPP Poll data suggest a high-degree of skepticism among many voters over global warming’s threat.
Three-quarters of those responding to the I&I/TIPP Poll agreed there are reasons for “public skepticism toward climate-change policies,” while just over a third of voting-age Americans say they themselves “distrust” the information used to sell previous climate-change policies.

Maybe the pendulum is swinging back towards sanity, finally.

I'm very old. I have never for a moment believed the climate claptrap. It's a hoax to gain power, just ask Al Gore, he'll tell ya. I've lived in a coastal area for 20 years now and the tidal range hasn't changed yet. BTW, climate changes and there isn't anything we puny humans can do about it.

That it's only 1 in 3 is shocking.
Shows how successful the hoaxers have been.

I recall, around 50years ago, as a young teen, reading an article in National Wildlife, I think, where an "environmentalist" was editorialzing about what strategies to take in protecting the environment in the future. He went into great detail on how such harm had to be exaggerated to get the "common peoples'" attention. Fabricating harm was merely a 'legitimate' tactic to save our planet.
I knew then that Environmentalism was doomed. "Cry Wolf!" has never been a sound long term practice.

I highly recommend WattsUpWithThat blog for "The world's most viewed site on global warming and climate change." Good stuff.

So according to this, 2/3s of Americans are complete idiots. I don't believe their numbers.

Electroverse.info is another good site, poster #6. However you have to pay for the content now since they tried to dry up all the advertising on the website. Good stuff though.

I think we have all learned that "scientists" and "experts" are controlled by their funding (mostly government grants), which means that those that control funding can buy the opinions that they want.
One thing that is consistent between covid and climate hysteria, is that panic helps governments to have more control.
So ignore them .... especially when they are trying to muzzle those who disagree with them.
Ignore the next vaccine rushed to market, ignore the panic of a meteor heading toward earth, ignore the stories about the coastline homes flooding by a certain date.

It's way more than that. "Distrust" and "skepticism" should be replaced by ridicule, total disbelief and often, laughter. Climate Change evolved from Global Warming and goes back to Tree-Hugging. If those people had legitimate testing, scientific proof and logical minds, there would be none of it.

Agree on the 'WattsUpWithThat' website!
I remember in the '70's when the big scare was 'Global Cooling' before it changed to 'Global Warming', before it changed to 'Anthropogenic Climate Change', before it changed to 'Anthropogenic Climate Disruption'.
Ever notice that all the 'warming' temperature charts begin in 1979?
That's because there was an apparent slight cooling trend in the '70's. 1979 was the measured coolest year, so beginning a temperature graph in 1979 gives the greatest slope to the curve.
As the West cuts itself off from burning coal for energy, CHINA puts TWO new large Coal-fired power plants into service every WEEK. India and Indonesia are also building coal-fired power plants, with no plans to change.
Anyway, the whole thing is Bovine Scatology. 'Climate' is a tool for Taxes and Political Control. I could go on for an hour, but I'll end with this quote:
----------------------------
...from the former co-chair of the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) from 2008-2015, Ottmar Edenhofer: “One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate policy is environmental policy. This has almost nothing to do with the environmental policy anymore, with problems such as deforestation or the ozone hole … ” “We redistribute de facto the world’s wealth by climate policy … ” In 2011, Edenhofer also stated, “The next world climate summit in Cancun is actually an economy summit during which the distribution of the world’s resources will be negotiated.”

Sad that it's only 1 in 3, but my grandchildren, who are all young adults now, have had climate change drummed into their heads for 13 years in public schools. I don't know if their minds could ever be changed. They love me, but I'm just old grandma who doesn't know the "facts".

The present cold we're experiencing here in South Louisiana should convince any remaining local skeptics that global warming is a hoax!

First, without reading the methodology, I'm guessing the poll once again oversampled Dems to get the desired numbers. There's no way just 1/3 of the population sees through the whole climate change caravan of garbage. Secondly, since I'm approaching 60 I recall a few "predictions" made by these loons: Northern Hemisphere would be under glaciers by 1990. Nope. We'd run out of oil before 2000. Didn't happen. Life expectancy would be under 50 years by 1980. Way off. We'd run out of gold, silver, lead and tin by 1990, and copper by 2000. I don't think so. About 80 percent of all species were supposed to be extinct by now. Big nope. Smog was supposed to kill 200,000 Americans per year. Yeah, no. By 1985, pollution was supposed to cut half the sunlight reaching the Earth. It's safe to say that never happened. Then there's the ozone disaster that never happened, global cooling, global warming, finally climate change - because the weather never, ever changes quickly - and a hundred others for the ones listed above.
