Greg Gutfeld Is Crushing Late-Night Liberals
— And Scoring A Big Win For Conservatives

Greg Gutfeld is going gangbusters and proving that conservatives have made huge headways in the culture wars. The Fox News star and late-night comedian, who hosts the eponymous show “Gutfeld!” was featured in a splashy Variety cover story Wednesday. Just that fact alone is a victory for conservatives, as the story was fair, far from a hit piece. But Gutfeld’s indisputably superb ratings are yet more proof that the right is ascendant in the culture wars and that more and more Americans are craving comedy and commentary from fresh, independent voices.

Comments:

Enjoy Greg but prefer his old show Red Eye. In the old days watched Carson, Letterman, and Leno but can't stand Kimmel or Colbert whose entire show is a political commercial for the Left.

Because the left forgot how to be funny years ago. They're now so terrified of offending anyone over anything they only attacks conservatives and aren't very funny about that either.

Gutfeld says that much of what goes on in late-night is old and tired. Well, his shtick is already growing tiresome. When he avoids it, though - some of the funniest stuff going.

I usually flip him on for a few minutes. But the bleeps are getting old. (And what’s with Kay’s mouth??! She is going to have a baby and talks like a sailor.) But Greg shines on The Five. His insight and mini-monologues are superior in every way.

I don't know why but Gutfield reminds me of Knucklehead Smiff. To me, he's wooden, tedious, and repetitive---an annoying, unfunny comedian. Why can't we launch a streaming conservative version of SNL or Johnny Carson? Cable's dead and the timing is perfect for formerly closeted conservative comedians to feel confident stepping out into the spotlight.

I watch it often, mainly because of his guests, including conservative comedians who are much funnier than Greg. Greg's schtick has gotten too repetitive and his humor too angry/sarcastic. But his political observations are right on. The nightly format is tough to keep fresh. Take him in low doses and especially when the news is hot on the given day. That's when he is at his best.

My take on the late-night shows.... and TV in general. Carson was funny until he got old. The few times I tried watching Letterman, it was so stupid I could feel my brain cells dying. Leno was OK, had more good moments than bad. Arsenio Hall started out funny, but faded as his writers became more leftist. Jimmy Fallon started out OK, but soon faded and became unfunny, again as his material went 'Left'. Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert and Seth Myers were never funny, were just mean any time I saw them. I never watched a lot of TV, and as time went on, and particularly as more and more things became available online, I just..... never turned it on. Regarding all our TV use nowadays.... my wife likes the local news, some of the game shows, and an occasional episode of NCIS..... I never touch the thing except to mute it or turn it off.

Greg is a smart, well-informed guy. I enjoy his dry mockery of Libs. His show varies depending upon who is there and what is going on that day Not crazy about Kat, I do renjoy Dagen McDowell when she is there. And Tyrus, a guy who appears to be all brawn but as a former special ed teacher, surprises. If you want broad Vegas lounge show humor, this is not for you.

The point of this article: According to the most recent Nielsen data, Gutfeld’s show is the only late night program averaging more than 3 million viewers. His broadcast and cable rivals, which include Jimmy Fallon’s “The Tonight Show” on NBC and Stephen Colbert’s “The Late Show” on CBS,” usually never break 2 million viewers. What’s more, Gutfeld is attracting more Democrats and independents than the competition and is sitting at No. 1 in two surprising demographics for Fox News: adults 18-49 and adults 25-54. Younger viewers like this conservative protram. Good enough for me.

Can Canadians get the world drinking tree sap? 6 replies

While drinking tree sap does not immediately sound appealing, Canadian producers are hoping that it will be the next must-try soft drink around the world. We have all heard of maple syrup, which is made by boiling down the sap of maple trees to produce a thick, sweet, golden-to-brown coloured syrup that is typically poured over pancakes. What is far less well known is that you can drink the sap itself, which is called maple water. Clear in colour, it contains just 2% natural sugars, so it is only slightly sweet.

On “Fox News Sunday,” host Shannon Bream questioned Hegseth about a “rumored list” ...

Democrats are doubling down on left-wing gender ideology despite their viewpoints being increasingly unpopular with the average American. The vast majority of Americans support reversing the Biden administration’s extreme approach to transgender issues, including barring biological males from participating in women’s sports. But Democratic lawmakers, including those representing congressional districts President Donald Trump won in November, are continuing to push left-wing stances on transgender issues that are seemingly at odds with their own voters.

Last November, Democrat fraudsters bypassed the presidential race and focused instead on the down-ballot races. In Florida, local Democrat candidates received more votes than either Donald Trump or Kamala Harris at the top of the ballot. Something was definitely amiss. For instance, Republican Rocky Rochford was running against incumbent Democrat Kathy Castor for the U.S. House seat in Congressional Race 14 (FL-14). The district straddles Hillsborough and Pinellas counties and includes the cities of Tampa and St. Petersburg. Castor was declared the winner, but Rochford is now contesting the race, claiming voter fraud, primarily by vote-by-mail ballots.

I’ve written about how the left uses language to (often falsely) shape political and social narratives. Abortion is “health care.” Illegal aliens are “undocumented citizens.” The homeless are the “unhoused,” or recently and more and more ridiculously, “people experiencing homelessness,” while people who have ties to Latin America are “Latinx” (although most Latinos in reality want nothing to do with the term). One the silliest arguments they regularly bring forth, though, is regarding the term “woman”—what does it mean? Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson doesn’t know; meanwhile, many leftists define it as “anyone who identifies as one.” Right. Enter Wisconsin Gov.
