TEL AVIV — In a ceremony surrounded by masked Palestinian militants and rubble from the Gaza war, Hamas released three Israeli hostages holding U.S., Russian and Argentinian citizenships on Saturday.
It was the sixth group of hostages freed as part of a fragile ceasefire deal that nearly collapsed this week between the Palestinian militant group and Israel. In exchange for the released hostages, Palestinian authorities expect Israel to release 369 Palestinian prisoners and detainees.
The three male civilian hostages released are Sagui Dekel-Chen, a 36-year-old dual U.S.-Israeli citizen, Alexander Trupanov, a 29-year-old dual Russian-Israeli citizen, and Yair Horn, a 46-year-old dual Argentinian-Israeli.

Drip, drip. I guess Hamas is hoping for some concessions. They know that if all hostages are released, then "All hell will be break loose" and their meeting with Allah will shortly follow.

The hostages released are well short of the "dozens" that have been promised.

I am confused about this event. President Trump gave an ultimatum- release ALL of the hostages by Noon Saturday or Israel goes in, PERIOD. and I hope Trump keeps his word and Israel backs him up.

Comment 2 - Releasing 100 terrorists in return for a single hostage is a HORRIBLE exchange rate. i do not understand the Israeli Gov't. These terrorists will just turn around and be attempting to kill Israelis in no time flat.

Maybe Israel is being smart in trading hundreds of the palestinian rabble in exchange for a couple of hostages. I wonder if they will have brains checked for the explosive implants and location transmitters?

Dribbling out these hostages in bits and pieces is absurd. After all the death, and all the torture, and everything else, a force needs to be deployed in there, to kill these idiots, and get whatever survivors are left out of there, And then annex, plow under, and fill the tunnels in Gaza. This needs to end now. Three hostages released, give me a break.

I have a sick feeling that only the hostages in "good shape" are being released. I fear those remaining
in captivity have been brutally treated and, if they ever return, will be much like the young American male
released from North Korea during President Trump's first term. Returned home after extensive torture only
to die a short time after his release.

The order from Trump was to release ALL hostages by today. This is not ALL of them, is it.

#9, sadly, I fear is right. If any hostages are alive they are eyeball witnesses if allowed to testify to their brutal treatment.
I also fear they will be used as human shields to Trump's response thereby eliminating them as evidence and transferring guilt for their murder to him.
What does Hamas have to lose by not hastening their own comeuppance?

Of course any Hamas prisoner released will go back to Gaza and be back in the fighting the next day.
Israel knows that, We all know that, but what else can they do?
They can't just execute them all. That would be the best solution, but civilization and their own conscience won't allow it.
They cannot feed and house them forever, the cost is prohibitive.
Hamas is doing this piecemeal because it keeps them in the news and it keep Israel and the world begging. Begging for the release. That is why hostages were taken in the first place. In a real war, no one takes hostages. POW's ?yes Civilians? No. Hostages being take was a major plan when the killing began.
We have been 2 years trying to get them back. Cease fires ,money, Aid ? Hostages all a part of that plan.
