STUTTGART, Germany — Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on Tuesday began his first international trip overseas spending some quality time with American troops stationed in Germany early in the morning for some physical training — or PT, in military-speak.
Side-by-side with Green Berets from the 10th Special Forces Group, the 44-year-old defense secretary did the “HERO workout” — a series of exercises honoring those who have fallen in the line of duty. Hegseth did the workout despite arriving to Germany around 2 a.m. that morning and only getting a few hours sleep. Asked why it was important for him to do soo, he said it was about hearing from the troops directly.

From DEI to strength and lethality. Isn’t that what it’s all about?

Lloyd Affirmative Action and the rest of his silk panty brigade at the Pentagon never did this. No wonder recruiting is on the upswing.

Ok. I’ll admit it: when I saw him yesterday on TV, with the caption “Secretary of Defense,” I was a startled. The image was a bit disruptive because he doesn’t LOOK LIKE the other SecDefs.
Then this morning I read this story and realized he is just one symbol of a myriad other symbols that depict the transformative nature of PDJT and his team.
The whole of government has shifted.
Thank you, Lord.

Yeah, Mitch McConnell, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski happily voted to approve Lloyd Austin as SecDef, but somehow Pete Hegseth couldn't make the grade for their vote. These corrupt and malicious senators are perfect examples of the rot that pervades our nation. They and other senators and congressmen like them have been orchestrating the fraud and plunder of our Nation's treasury and every citizen's pocket. They must be held accountable.

Back in the 1950's and 60's, there was a Marine Corps general on active duty named Victor Krulak. He was 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighed about 140 pounds soaking wet, and his nickname was "Brute", which gave some indication of his personality. After he got his first star, he told his wife "the trouble with being a general is that everyone lies to you." He never took anybody's word about how things were; he went to see for himself. He was liable to turn up anywhere - mess halls, supply depots, rifle ranges, offices, barracks - which kept everyone on their toes.
Hegseth reminds me of Krulak.

Re #10, Krulak's bio is worth a read. An innovator with an amazing reord, he hoped to become Commandant of the Marine Corps. A vindictive Lyndon Johnson chose someone else. Krulak's son later became Commandant. Brute was his Naval Academy wrestling nickname.

#11: I’ve had a copy of that book for about 15 years. I can’t count the number of people I’ve loaned it to!
Back in ‘68 Krulak was being considered for Commandant of the Marine Corps. I was on active duty then. All of the old salts said the same thing - “if Brute gets the job, you better stand the f*** by!”

Re #10, a close relative was the CO of an aircraft carrier. He liked to just roam the ship in the wee hours of the night and morning, and just talk with the sailors and junior officers about how things were going from their viewpoint. All the way down into the bottom engineering spaces of the carrier.
As a junior officer himself, he had been a bit bored when at sea, and had ordered USN training manuals to study. He went through all the enlisted ratings in the USN over a number of years, and was therefore familiar with the terminology and jobs of pretty much all the enlisted folks. He told me it was amazing to watch some guy's eyes light up when he was asked a bit about his job, and :"do you still do the AB13-21 job every month?" or whatever. Knowing a little about the guy's job and asking, and listening was very valuable.
Senior officers keeping in contact with the folks in the ranks is critical to knowing what is REALLY going on. Sounds like Gen. Krulak was a great leader.
