Interference in another country's internal affairs?
Sure, if you're the Vatican, or more specifically, the Vatican's big umbrella NGO of NGOs known as Caritas, whose U.S. arms include Catholic Charities and Catholic Relief Services.
According to the Associated Press:
VATICAN CITY -- The Vatican's charity said Monday that U.S. plans to gut USAID were “reckless” and could kill millions, while Pope Francis’ point man on development urged the Trump administration to remember Christian principles about caring for others.
Cardinal Michael Czerny, a Czech-born Canadian Jesuit, is one of the cardinals most closely associated with Francis’ pontificate and heads the Vatican office responsible for migrants, the environment, the church’s Caritas Internationalis charity and development.

The socialist Pope, 88 years old and wheelchair bound(prone to falling) in addition to a slew of health problems, has many Cardinals that obey him in order to get "promoted".

It’s always interesting to see who protests, when you derail the Grift & Graft gravy train.

It's probably very insulting to give the pope the finger but here you go, Frank. Without Catholic Charities this country would probably have been invaded by only half as many illegal aliens.

The Catholic Church in America is rotten to the core, as is the Vatican. They’re destroying themselves from within. No one should wonder why I left it in my youth.

As lifelong practicing Catholics, my wife and I donate to the annual Bishop’s Appeal in our Diocese.
We just received our 2025 donation appeal in the mail. This year, we will not be donating. Instead, I am writing a letter to our Bishop stating the reason that we are withholding our donation: the Church’s very public support of ILLEGAL immigration.
It is hypocrisy for our Pope, who lives in a walled, closed city protected by armed guards, to try to dictate immigration policy to the rest of the world. If the Holy Father is serious about alleviating the plight of immigrants, let him open the gates of Vatican City and provide free unlimited health care, education, food and lodging, and all other essential services. Otherwise, dear Holy Father, Shut the F@&$ Up!!

The Pope is a Jesuit socialist. He may think he needs to meddle in US politics, but he needs to stay in his lane. This is not his circus nor his monkeys. We have to do what we have to do.

The Catholic Church has untold amounts of wealth yet you never hear about any charitable efforts on their part. The Pope needs to step up to the plate and donate some of it for the illegal immigrant causes and quit griping about our securing our borders as he does his.

"could kill millions" Those three words have been used to extort money, food, medicine and weapons for a long time. Pound sand, the world has too many people anyway "caring for others" is another bait line. I only help those who don't openly hate me.

The Cardinal is missing or ignoring the fact that if USAID money is going to a cause that is deemed worthwhile, the funding will remain in place. Trump is only concerned with the waste and fraud. Since there is so much of both, it appears that he intends to shut down USAID.
