“Border czar” Tom Homan, who oversees President Trump’s mass deportation program, shot back at Pope Francis after he chastised the administration’s approach to immigration enforcement.
“I’ve got harsh words for the Pope,” Homan told reporters at the White House on Tuesday. “Pope ought to fix the Catholic Church.”
“I’m saying this as a lifelong Catholic — I was baptized Catholic, my first Communion as a Catholic, confirmation as a Catholic. He ought to fix the Catholic Church and concentrate on his work and leave border enforcement to us,” he continued.
Homan noted the Vatican, where the pope resides, is walled in.
“He wants to attack us securing our border?

Way to go, Tom. The phony Pope and his minions need to be called out and ridiculed every time they open their yaps.

As another life time Catholic, loke Homan I applaud Homan. If I thought that false Pope Frankie was actually concerned about the souls of these illegals, I might think differently, but Frank is a Jesuit from a socialist country, so I believe his big concern is the millions made from cartels and USAID!

To me, Homan's way is the way a real Catholic talks. It is not disrespectful, and it was not ridicule. It is a thoughtful remark about the different vocations, and it is a helpful remark at that. Homan disagrees with the Pope, and it will sting some, but if the Pope wants to launch this dialogue in public, then in public it will be. Otherwise Homan would be allowing to stand a kind of slanderous representation of Trump, which he cannot do bc 8th commandment. fwiw I think the Holy Father IS concerned about the illegal immigrants, but it is not his vocation to work out what to do about it, and his ideas about it are wrong. He doesn't know but wants to jump in anyway. Homan is staying in his lane, being polite, doing what he must, not layering ridicule on it.

Soley by entering the USA without permission, these aliens broke US law, so they are Defacto criminals. Thus, the rest of the "Pope's" letter is meaningless.

I'll never forget Washington State Gov. Dixie Lee Ray stating that nobody owns a job. Dems and their out of touch leaders are behaving as though they are entitled to decide what auditors may or may not see regarding where and to whom taxpayer money went, and under what conditions. Their outrage seems so over the top, unless the worrisome information uncovered so far really is just the tip of the iceberg. Since he's going to sign another Executive Order to bolster DOGE, it appears threats and law suits aren't going to deter the important and necessary auditing to come, thanks to President Trump and DOGE. Dems seem both angry and worried. Maybe they'll feel better if the findings show wrongdoing that can't be explained away.

I have learned that there are actually two Catholic Churches, the first is the spiritual Catholic Church, and the other is the worldly Catholic Church, and they are different as the worldly Catholic Church is highly political. When the current socialist Pope sticks his nose into how developed countries, including the USA, create and carry out the enforcement of their sovereign immigration laws, the socialist Pope is using his Papal position as the leader of the worldly Catholic Church in a very political manner. In that respect it has been the current Pope’s political agenda to tell the developed countries of the world that they must “open” their borders to unlimited numbers of who he calls “irregular migrants” of Third World undeveloped country origin, mostly all poor, uneducated, and unskilled peoples and allow them regardless of national immigration laws to gain entry across international borders and resettle in whatever developed country they wish so that they supposedly can make better lives for themselves and their Third World origin families.
Those “open borders” policies were immediately embraced by the cognitively declined and 101% politically partisan “ big guy” Biden, who portrays himself as being the most devout Catholic in the USA, after he assumed the US presidency, and by the leftist and progressive Democrats who actually ran the White House and set up the “the big guy” Biden’s leftist and progressive political agenda.
As those leftist and progressive Democrats have an covert overall political agenda to use mass uncontrolled illegal immigration to flood the USA with as many millions of Third World origin so-called “migrants” who are defined as being illegal aliens in accordance with US immigration laws. The big excuse used by Biden and his leftist Democrat crew was that unlimited numbers of Third World origin migrants (illegal aliens) have a right to violate the US immigration laws by gaining unlawful entry to the USA because they claim they are “asylum seekers” who should have a right to show up and pursue their asylum claims through US courts even if that process individually takes many years. On it’s face, such bogus procedures are crazy, as the number of potential such Third World origin so-called “asylum seekers” clearly could easily out number the current legal US citizen population now residing in the USA.
The true political agenda of the leftist and progressive Democrats in that respect is to continue to use Third World origin illegal aliens to permanently change the ethnic and racial population demographics of the USA, beyond the point to where the USA would be transformed into a minority-majority populated country, politically run by a vast coalition of both domestic and foreign origin minority groups as defined in Democrat identity politics. The initial aspect of that transformation will be reached during the next US Census when the Democrats demand that all illegal aliens in Democrat run so-called sanctuary cities and areas be counted in that census and that their population numbers be used for congressional redistricting purposes to move a yet unknown number of congressional districts from their current locations into the Democrat run sanctuary cities and areas where leftist and progressive Democrat candidates are bound to win the resulting elections following the redistricting process to the great benefit of the leftist and progressive Democrats, giving them a majority number of seats and control in future Congressional House of Representatives on into the future. You have to ask, do the wimpy congressional Republicans even have a clue!

The Pope is entitled to his opinion, and that is what it is, an opinion. The faithful are under no obligation to follow his lead in this matter. That being said, this pope has blinders on. He is looking at only one facet of the problem and ignoring the rest. If he really wants to walk the walk, he should take a a page from the movie, Shoes of the Fisherman, and pledge the wealth of the church to the immigrants.

I'm not Catholic but I knew a girl while I was in the Navy who was. She invited me to go to her church and I have to say it was a sight to behold. It was very beautiful, and the service was the same. This was a few years before who I thought was the greatest Pope in John Paul II died. Pope Francis is nothing like him and yes, he's entitled to his opinion as is anyone. However, I agree with Tom Homan 100 percent, and he handled the woke Pope's criticisms with the utmost respect. Which I contend is far more that he deserved.
