President Donald Trump is waging war against former President Joe Biden’s green energy regulations on Americans’ household appliances.
Trump made the announcement in a social media post at 5:57 a.m. on Tuesday and said he was instructing Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Secretary Lee Zeldin to oversee the matter, Fox News reported. The president wrote in his post:
I am hereby instructing Secretary Lee Zeldin to immediately go back to my Environmental Orders, which were terminated by Crooked Joe Biden, on Water Standards and Flow pertaining to SINKS, SHOWERS, TOILETS, WASHING MACHINES, DISHWASHERS, etc., and to likewise go back to the common sense standards on LIGHTBULBS,

The market could not provide acceptable replacements for incandescent bulbs (i.e., good color, long lasting, dimmability, cold environments, rapid startup, and competitive price) until just recently. I bought a bunch of incandescent bulbs years ago and still have them to use but have started replacing some bulbs with the latest generation LEDs that are good enough to meet my requirements. Companies should try making quality products that are as "green" as possible and are of good quality and then compete in the marketplace (not be forced down our throats by our elitist politicians.

How long before you can buy a washer that cleans clothes or a dishwasher that cleans plates?

All great ideas. Bring back Mr. Edison's invention, the incandescent light bulb. Better light at night.

I waited to buy lightbulbs until Trump got back in office. The other kind cost a fortune and do not last any longer than the older kind.

RE #4:
I still have the washer and dryer that I bought for my college apartment in a storage unit waiting to be used. The set is 20 years old, bought before the government decided to make clothes more difficult to get clean. The one we have now is horrible, but it is provided by my landlord, so I don't have much say about it. I'm looking forward to the day I can use my own appliances.

I also bought incandescent bulbs while I still could. I have enough on hand to last until the marketplace gets its brain back or the Rapture, whichever comes first!!

#4 & 8 - I still have the 1999 GE washer and dryer that came with our manufactured home we have here on the homestead. Still working like brand new after 25 years. Not one service call in that time, either. I can wash seven big-round table cloths from the Parish Hall in one load! Good old-fashioned American 20th century manufacturing - all steel. Whenever it comes time for me to leave this house, I'm leaving a note for the new owner: "Don't get rid of these machines! You'll never see the likes of them again!"

We've just endured 35 years of busybodies politicizing our personal lives. When the Cold War ended, the Left could no longer exploit nuclear annihilation as a justification for imposing their progressive agenda. So instead they adopted a whole new series of causes (global warming, recycling, DEI...) that allowed them to ennoble themselves while stealing our freedoms.
The old Left's nuclear freeze movement, unilateral disarmament, and moral equivalency ideologies could have gotten me disarmed, enslaved, and incinerated. Compared to that, I remember thinking that their new lunacies seemed relatively harmless.
I no longer think so. Allowing Progessives to occupy the moral high ground on these issues gave them license to impose bureaucratic controls reaching into every facet of daily life. Shower heads, light bulbs, toilets, garbage cans, styrofoam hamburger containers---there was no nit in our lives too small for them to pick.
Canada recently banned plastic bags and straws nationwide protect the oceans. Now when you order a Filet 'O Fish and a drink at McDonald's, they give you a paper straw because they want to "save the fish." And no one laughs.
A few days ago, President Trump reversed Progressive policies calling for paper straws and bags. Today, he's ejecting them from our homes.
It's not just winning. It's winning back all the little liberties that these Progressive parasites have stolen from us over the last 35 years.

I had a stash of incandescent light bulbs, and when I ran out I found some on Amazon and ordered them, though they were expensive. Turns out they were made in China, and some of them lasted about two minutes, literally, when I screwed them in. I sure hope some American company starts producing incandescent bulbs as fast as they can.

My husband thought that I was crazy in buying boxes and boxes of incandescent light bulbs at the time.
We have have bought a few of the LED and they don't last as long and they are terrible for reading.
So glad that common sense is returning to the White House.

The world is running out of water! By 2037 there will not be a drop of water left on this planet! Where has it all gone? Don't you dare ask - - you environmental disaster denier!
Stop taking showers - - you fools! It's OK to walk around smelling like a pig sty - - or even as bad as Jerry Nadler. Otherwise - - as Poster #3 already noted - - we're doomed!

In California it is impossible to buy a non-LED incandescent lightbulb with a natural sunlight spectrum. All have a cold very white light identical to fluorescent tubes. This disaster started with GW Bush Jr.

Will Industry make any changes to the current junk? Knowing that somehow the green's will make their way back in and change it back? The Republican party is still looking for ways to lose and let their Democrat masters back in so they can whine and pretend to stand up for ..... something .... while safe in their emasculation.
Maybe if Elon buys GE and GM, fires the woke management and turns the engineers loose (the engineers knew how to build a vehicle that can outperform anything from Europe or Asia, they just weren't allowed).

No. 17, when you hear that battle cry (.... running out of water ..... or running out of
potable water or some other variation, tell them this .....) -
With the exception a few gallons of water lost from space craft and a few more gallons
lost when astronauts urinated outside of the atmosphere, and a few other cases,
and by a 'few' I mean it could be several million gallons, which is still inconsequential,
EVERY DROP of water that was on this planet 100,000,000 years ago IS STILL HERE !!
Furthermore, we have a marvelous, automatic, self maintaining, FOOLPROOF system to purify water continuously so that we NEVER run out !! It's called precipitation !! Otherwise known as rain, snow, sleet, hail, drizzle or WATER.
I so tired of this 'running out of water' LIE being pushed by people who have no idea how ANYTHING works and or are shills doomsayers ( many of which DO know better !!
