The FBI has uncovered 2,400 new records about President John F. Kennedy’s assassination following President Trump’s order to release the secret files, according to reports.
Those documents contain about 14,000 pages worth of material that a disclosure board was supposed to review but never saw, Axios reported Monday.
The White House learned about the never-before-reviewed documents on Friday as the Office of the Director of National Intelligence presented its plan to disclose the remaining documents.

I'm betting that these are not going to much of real interest, but best get them all out.

"They" misplaced 2400 files for 62 years. Documents that were to be reviewed but the review did not happen. Really? That many files and there was no one following up the process? I was 12 years old when JFK was assassinated. I remember it like it was yesterday. I watched everything that was on television and read every newspaper article I could get my hands on. (Can you imagine if we had had the internet back then?) I was watching the live broadcast when Lee Harvey Oswald was shot and killed. Unfortunately the government lies about anything and everything no matter how small or how large the situation. I have been interested in our history and politics ever since. Here's hoping the truth will finally be known no matter how unpleasant and disturbing it might be.

Just wondering.... Will 'they' (the ones resisting releasing whatever it is they're trying to hide....) go ahead and release everything per Trump's order, or will they claim that these 'newly discovered' documents need to be reviewed first...... and slow-walk the review, so as to further delay releasing whatever it is that they have been hiding all these sixty years?
At this point, I will not put ANYTHING past these scoundrels.

If we are going to have to wait for every agency's redactions and reviews, we will never see any of these files. Trump should give the orders to release the files now.

Re #3, yep, NO MATTTER WHAT is released, there are plenty of people who will be forever "certain" that "the good stuff" is being held back.
Folks will NEVER believe that the story isn't really all that complex, and nothing will convince them that they already have the full story.

This does not qualify as a "blessed miracle." More of an oops, "we meant to give you these earlier."

Yes, go ahead and count me as one with boundless suspicion whenever Truth and the Deep State are in one sentence. The chances of the actual Truth being revealed are between zero and 0.0000001 Check out what happened to Dorothy Kilgallen when she got hold of some truth. These would be burnable paper files, and maybe erasable magnetic tape. The very few people from then, alive to tell about it...won't be alive if they tell about it.

I predict most of these files are speculative stories by government paid writers about scenarios that COULD explain the evidence of the assassination. In other words, smoke and mirrors. Hopefully, we'll be able to assemble the truth.

Every one of them if followed to the end, will find dim-0s behind them. NO ONE, not even the Italian mafia could have covered it up as well as it was, only the dim-0 party had that much power.

During my first 6-month Naval deployment while stationed at Pearl Harbor. Long before cell phones, the World Wide Web and social media I bought a book by Jim Marrs titled "Crossfire: The Plot That Killed Kennedy. He broke everything down and it was the first time that I questioned what led up to November 22, 1963. Also, what transpired in the aftermath. Agree wholeheartedly with #3. Whatever will be released won't be what is needed to stop all speculation as to what really happened to our 35th president.

The finger pointing should be toward the government, and the FBI in general. The suspicion grows out of the government's action not from the reaction to the evidence. It is and was the duplicitous acts of the government that created the suspicions not the people who refuse to believe what the government has to say - about anything. If there was nothing to hide why did they hide it for 62 years? That doesn't mean that that the gov. is not telling the truth this time, but it certainly is understandable that many rightfully hold their acts in question. None know what is in the files that have never been released. I want to know before I am willing to excuse their acts.

How do we know that those have not been doctored or redacted like most off them? JFK had many enemies in and out of the government and he was shot. The person(s) who shot him are also dead. Nothing revealed now will change that.

The reason...poster #2...that the files were lost by the FBI is ...because the CIA and FBI were complicit in the assassination of JFK and RFJ and MLK...the agencies hired twisted fools that they could manage...and to point fingers at....Oswald said it best..."I'm a pasty"....he knew that he didn't kill JFK...the CIA agent looking to cleanse his soul as he was dying confessed that he fired the kill shot from the security car behind the Kennedy limousine .....and there you have it...the truth!!

I’m sure any evidence of government involvement was scrubbed decades ago. We all know it was the CIA. They tried to recreate the exact same scenario with President Trump in Butler, PA, right down to the angle of the kill shot and the removal of the patsy.

By LAW passed by the Congress and signed by President Poppy Bush nam4d the JFK Act which created the Assassination Records Review Board (ARRB) ALL of those documents were to have been turned over back in the early 1990's.....
In 1995, the Secret Service ADMITTED to the ARRB about actually DESTROYING documents related to two assassination attempts on JFK in Chicago and Tampa only weeks before 11/22/1963 in Dallas.
Will we be seeing the alphabet agency who overthrew governments in Latin America in the 1950's fully cooperate with the Law and the President's EO time time? I doubt they will EVER come clean without attempting to redact of destroy their records continuing to CYA certain individuals involved.

No matter what the facts, no matter what evidence, there are plenty of people who WANT to believe in 'the boogie man' and movie plot twists in real life.
The problem is that 98-99% of the time, real life is linear and straightforward. But, people WANT the world to be filled with deep dark secrets and mysterious boogie men.
So, they'll believe it it, forever, even when there is no evidence at all.
Just like Bigfoot. Zero evidence, but lots and lots of believers.

L. Patrick Gray when he assumed the directorship of the FBI claimed he destroyed paperwork about the JFK assassination that “should never see the light of day.”
