Congressional Democrats have begun scheming to use an upcoming government battle to force concessions from President Donald Trump. Though the next spending deadline is in mid-March, Congress has yet to agree on anything, let alone a deal to avert a crisis. “Democrats say they have little appetite to help Republicans, given Trump’s latest moves, and intend to use their leverage in the spending fight,” according to The Hill. Sen. Patty Murray, the top Democrat on the Senate Appropriations Committee, warned reporters earlier this week that “the level of trust is at the lowest I have ever seen it here in Congress,

LOL They are going nuts, because Trump and DOGE are on the verge of destroying all their money scams. There's a reason most congressmen are multi-millionaires after being in office a few years. Like President Trump, it's a darn good thing that Elon Musk is not taking a salary for what he is doing with DOGE. So he can just keep on working when everyone else is sitting home for a shutdown. But knowing Musk, he will pay DOGE out of his own pocket while the government is shut down. Their work is way too important to play stupid politician games.

For a solid week, blue states, labor unions, and non-profit organizations have descended on federal courts up and down the East Coast seeking to halt President Donald Trump’s agenda. And they have found receptive partners in a handful of federal judges willing to enter temporary restraining orders, or TROs, to immediately — and sometimes without any notice — prohibit the normal functioning of the executive branch. To be clear, the TROs entered are not addressing specific disputes between Trump and the litigants, where the plaintiffs allege a particular action injures them in some concrete way. Rather, the country is seeing large coalitions of plaintiffs who oppose the president’s agenda filing lawsuits

Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency has Democrats furious and the Washington establishment a-boil — desperately trying to mire DOGE’s “break things and move fast” in lawfare and other counterpunching. But the drive to uncover government waste and projects directly opposed by the public must not stop. President Trump and his minion Musk need to keep the disruption growing, shining sunlight into dark fiscal corners. Friday saw lefty “consumer advocacy” group Public Citizen team up with the University of California student government to sue to stop DOGE from getting Education Department data, citing supposed privacy concerns even though it’s working lawfully through the renamed US Digital Service.
