'Level it': Trump says US will 'take over'
Gaza Strip, rebuild it to stabilize Middle East

Original Article

The U.S. will "take over the Gaza Strip," level it and rebuild the area, President Donald Trump said during a press conference Tuesday evening after meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House. [Snip] "And everybody I've spoken to--this was not a decision made lightly--everybody I've spoken to loves the idea of the United States owning that piece of land. Developing and creating thousands of jobs with something that will be magnificent in a really magnificent area that nobody would know. Nobody can look because all they see is death and destruction and rubble."

Comments:

As Prime Minister Netanyahu pointed out, President Trump “punctures conventional thinking, thinking that has failed time and again...to think outside the box...cutting to the chase...seeing things others refuse to see...saying things others refuse to say...and after jaws drop, people scratch their heads, and they say, ‘You know, he’s right.’” The question has been raised whether President Trump’s surviving the Butler assassination attempt might have been for a purpose—perhaps a purpose on behalf of Israel and America? ~~~ “I will bless those who bless you...” (Genesis 12:3)

This does not seem, at first look, like a good idea. I'll sit back and watch and see what happens. Perhaps he'll get Saudi Arabia and other countries to put in troops to protect it, and build a 'new Riviera' as he has predicted. Maybe it may work when the vermin are removed or exterminated.

I am not so sure of this one, this is a region where everybody hates everybody, especially the US. It probably needs to be leveled, remove all the vermin, but a Mideast riviera, I can't picture it ever lasting. Rebuild it and let the Arabs manage the rats, this feels like putting us in the middle of a nightmare of possibilities of war when the rats come crawing back in, and they will. I hope poster #1 is right and there is method to this idea and all will balance out.

We have no business in the middle east. We have wasted far too much money there; money we dont have and needed to borrow. If the issue is oil, let them kill each other and buy it off the winner.

Not so sure about this one. No doubt Gaza could be great, but how does he keep Hamas out. Gaza could become the Riviera of the Middle East. Imagine tourists visiting the Holy Land and vacationing on the Beaches of Gaza. How stupid were the Islamics when they were given Gaza a thriving place and they destroyed it. No doubt Gaza could become a beautiful place, but should we be doing it?

Investing American blood (and there will be) and treasure to meddle in a pointless war---that can never be won---seems a perfect example of repeating past mistakes . See Vietnam, Afghanistan. Close our border, expel 40 million freeloading invaders, rebuild our infrastructure, make schools a place for education. Build condos on Mars. LOL, that last one. If the Military demands another shooting gallery, we could take North Korea. I'll wait to see if this is just a maneuver.

This is absolutely a radical, revolutionary, totally out of the box, idea that PUNCTURES the whole idea of a palestinian ethnic . There is no solution to the problem of "Palestine" as there was never a separate palestinian ethic or nation state. The area, Gaza, is a cesspool of hate and murder that will only rise up and strike Israel again if no drastic changes are made. Sure there are many obstacles to overcome but it is worth it to stop the madness of Hamas. Couple this idea with strangling Iran with sanctions again to cripple terrorist funding. Now force the Arab states to accept their brethren and give up the idea of the the total destruction/elimination of Israel.

The most common argument you’ll hear from those defending the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is that the grant dollars in question are just a fraction of the federal budget--less than one percent! [Snip] The point is to expose USAID for the left-wing propaganda and regime change operation that it has become, and to shut it down. In the six decades since it was established, USAID has gone from fighting poverty, spreading American ideals, and undercutting Soviet propaganda, to becoming a woke propaganda operation of its own that actively undermines the pillars of western civilization. It’s gone from exporting democracy to exporting deviancy,
