‘Completely Unhinged’: Victor Davis
Hanson Says Dems’ Fury Against Trump
Nominees During Hearings Is Political Misstep

Hoover Institution Senior Fellow Victor Davis Hanson explained on Friday how Democratic senators’ attacks on President Donald Trump’s nominees during confirmation hearings are backfiring politically because of conservatives’ current ability to push their messages more effectively online. Many Democratic senators have taken adversarial approaches to Trump’s cabinet nominees, including screaming at them, interrupting them and hurling accusations against them. Hanson, on “Victor Davis Hanson Show,” said that Trump’s nominees have all excelled at their hearings as they have come under fire from Democrats.

Comments:

The dims may be unhinged but they all have a vote. Sanders and Warren are corrupt hypocrits.

Unhinged?? How about mentally ill? The Democrats need a giant, padded room where they can throw temper tantrums. Their behavior at the confirmation hearings is despicable.

The democrats think they fared badly in the 2024 election. Just wait until the next one if they don't wake up. AOC, Newsom, Hakeem, or any of the other brain-damaged children are not going to save the party.

VDH is right, but it’s not stopping the Left. What these crazy Dem senators are doing is being copied, mimicked and repeated by the Left. I hear it in everyday discourse, looking at each move Trump makes and criticizing it. “How dare he” they say as their hair catches fire and they go running off to find like-minded crazies. Instead of stepping back and taking a deep breath, they barge on blindly, like swine jumping off a cliff.

The Democrats need to stop preaching Woke fantasies and trying to force them down the voter’s throats. Instead they should listen to the voters. Also , they should stop lying to the voters and do what they say they are going to do.

Competence vs. anger and feelz. And the winner is ... Competence wins in a knockout. It's a mess. Feelz is splattered all over the hearing room. Anger has been replaced by shock as Competence seems to know every weakness that Anger has and whales away on it. Meanwhile Media is trying to make calls to Deep States who no longer answer their phone and who's offices have been cleaned out and fumigated. So, Media goes into a round table and talks about how life is soooooo unfair. Anger and Feelz are sitting in a corner sucking their thumbs. Competence heads out to get things done!

The Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania are now unplugged from Russia's electricity grid and have joined the European Union's network. Plans for the move - which have been in the works since 2007 - were seen as essential for European security and had been brought brought forward after Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. "Today, history is made," EU chief Ursula von der Leyen told a ceremony in Lithuania's capital. "This is freedom, freedom from threats, freedom from blackmail."

Canada's outgoing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has told a group of business leaders he believes President Donald Trump might be serious about annexing his country. Trudeau suggested Trump has floated the idea of taking over Canada and making it the "51st state" because he wants to access the country's critical minerals. "Mr Trump has it in mind that the easiest way to do it is absorbing our country and it is a real thing," the prime minister said.

Hoover Institution Senior Fellow Victor Davis Hanson argued during a Friday podcast that Democratic Texas Rep. Al Green announcing he will bring articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump is emblematic of the Democratic Party’s failure to course-correct after the 2024 election. Trump made significant gains with both Hispanic and black men during the November election. Hanson, on “The Victor Davis Hanson Show,” pointed to Green’s impeachment effort as part of a larger pattern of Democrats being out of touch with their constituents, particularly men.

One of the most expensive green energy projects ever undertaken in American history looks like it is now on borrowed time after eating up massive amounts of taxpayer dollars and killing thousands of birds. Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) — a major utility company — announced in January that it is terminating power purchase contracts with the owners of Southwestern California’s Ivanpah Solar Power facility, a massive and unique solar project that received hundreds of millions of subsidy dollars as it launched in 2014.

Warren pressed Kennedy to “commit” to not accepting compensation for any lawsuits against drug companies during his potential tenure at HHS and for four years after, leading to a heated exchange. A federal judge has blocked Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (Doge) from accessing the personal financial data of millions of Americans in Treasury Department records, according to court documents. US District Judge Paul A. Engelmayer issued a preliminary injunction on Saturday to prohibit access, ordering Musk and his team to immediately destroy any copies of records. The move comes after 19 state attorneys general sued the Trump administration after Doge, a cost-cutting initiative led by Musk, was given access to the records. They argued access for Musk, a "special government employee", and Doge, which is not an official government department, violated federal law.

Both bills were passed after a special legislative session called by Newsom after the election to prepare California to lead the opposition to the second Trump administration. Newsom and the Democrat-controlled legislature reached a deal to fund the anti-Trump effort even as the Palisades Fire and Eaton Fire were still smoldering in Los Angeles.

The radical left judiciary continues to sabotage the Trump Administration’s efforts to drain the swamp. CNN reported on Saturday that a federal judge halted Elon Musk’s government efficiency team from accessing a critical Treasury Department. US District Judge Paul A. Engelmayer, who Barack Obama appointed, cited a risk of “irreparable harm.” The order temporarily stops access to a sensitive payment system that distributes Americans’ tax returns, Social Security benefits, disability payments, and federal employees’ salaries. Moreover, Engelmeyer ordered the destruction of any downloaded information from the payment system by anyone given access to it since January 20, the date Trump was inaugurated.
