President Donald Trump is demanding the return of a staggering $7 billion in U.S. military gear left behind during the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan under the Biden administration. In a move that’s drawing both support and criticism, Trump has called on the Taliban to recover the equipment, which includes advanced weapons, vehicles, and other critical resources. The request has sparked debate over accountability and the handling of the withdrawal, with Trump arguing that the gear should never have been abandoned in the first place. However, the Taliban is refusing to give it back to its rightful owners.

Sorry, but we are no longer the "rightful owners" of said equipment. To the victor go the spoils, and we handed the Taliban total victory.

I'm sure happy that the Trump Administration does not have that defeatist attitude, otherwise, any Americans still in Afghanistan are part of the victor's spoils, and Panama is forever yielded to the Chinese.

The Taliban is adhering to the doctrine of "Finders keepers...losers weepers".
It has been around for centuries.

Maybe we should bring them some more miliary equipment. Like a bunch of bombs going BOOM! over some of their miliary sites.

We DID abandon the stuff. However, it would be reasonable to get back things that those wild and crazy 7th century guys will never figure out how to use. Also stuff they clearly don't need. It would be a fine gesture on their part, however they are in a shooting war with Pakistan.

Trump knows there is no chance the Taliban will return anything. This is being done because it will force the the back-stabbing media to discuss it and perhaps some people will wake up to the disaster of Biden’s disgraceful and deadly withdrawal.

Time to send "Abdul" another photo print of his house with a written reminder that the co-ordinates are already dialed into missile systems that can it within minutes of authorization.

Then find out where they are storing it and blow it the hell up with some M84's or Predators or Hellfires which is what that damned Biden should have done before they left the air base...and don't sweat it if some Talibans are hanging around with their goats...

Trump must order the DC “Deep State” not to send the Taliban any spare parts for the US military gear that Biden essentially gave the Taliban. Stranger things than that have happened in DC.

Why was this not The Story? President Trump is Repo Man.
Thank Almighty God in Heaven for gracing us with this decent honest man who will save the Republic from knaves, fools, and our own stupifying largess

This might not work out well for Taliban leadership. Expect leaders to drop one by one to the "blades of death" from above in the following days.

Sorry poster #1...I ain't buying your sales pitch...but then I guess WE'll just have to go in there and get our equipment....OR perhaps the Taliban will wise up and offer President Trump America's equipment back...."don't take it personally...it's just business"....WE were never paid for our equipment...were WE???...and while WE're at it...our airport taken by Russia is a great bargaining tool for Ukraine and Russia's conflict...it's called "The Art of the Deal"....

Same thought here #6. Teams to go in and get the stuff or failing that, blow it up.
They lose either case.

#22: When you mention "our airport taken by Russia" all I can think of in Afghanistan is Bagram AFB, which is now occupied by China, not Russia. Please clarify...
