GOP trio missed the whole point of Secretary
of Defense Pete Hegseth

Original Article

Pete Hegseth squeaked through his Senate confirmation on Friday and became America’s new secretary of defense, but he needn't thank Republican senators Mitch McConnell, Lisa Murkowski, and Susan Collins. For all three long-time establishment and anti-Trump senators, the main objection to Hegseth stepping into the top Pentagon job was that they believe he lacks the prerequisite experience to run the mammoth organization. [Snip] Never mind that Hegseth was educated at Princeton and Harvard...served more than a decade in the U.S. Army infantry...rose to the rank of major while serving tours in Afghanistan...is a published author who has led veteran advocacy organizations.

Comments:

While cloaked as Republicans and hoped-for semblance of conservatism, reality can reveal liberalism that is disappointing, inappropriate and, at times, ruinous. ~~ “Frankly, liberals are out of the habit of communicating with anyone outside their own in cohort. We have a cultural problem with self-righteousness and elitism.” (Naomi Wolf)

I happen to disagree with this author. I stand up and salute in awe of Hagseth’s accomplishments, as were very well listed in the intro paragraphs. Yet his mil experience ends the rank of major, a nearly automatic rank for an entry level jg. In short, his life history documentable lacks the acumen that comes from the experience of commanding large organizations. Throw stones at the no voters, but I expect that there are war-hardened patriots with more large scale management skills than this hero has yet accumulated.

The point is that Pres. Trump had a landslide election. He has a mandate and should be allowed the Cabinet that he wants. Im sure the three voted for every one of Biden’s nominees.

So it's said, Mitch thought he had another vote, in addition to Murkowski and Collins. If so, it was probably Todd Young, one of my Senators. He owes his soul to Mitch.

McConnell, Murkowski and Collins are beholding to the MIC. McConnell is beholding to contributions from Raytheon and L3Harris. Murkowski is beholding to General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon. Collins is beholding to General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, Navatek and Raytheon. Guess which ones have contracts with the Ukraine - GD, LM, NG and Raytheon. Coincidence? Gibbs' Rule 39 applies here.

Lisa Murkowski FTA: "Managing the Department of Defense requires vast experience and expertise as the department is one of the most complex and powerful organizations in the world, and Mr. Hegseth’s prior roles in his career do not demonstrate to me that he is prepared for such immense responsibility." This from the woman so dumb she had to take the bar exam FOUR times. In addition, she was first appointed as senator in Alaska by her daddy. And she stole her subsequent elections. Without her daddy, she'd be unemployed. And the traitor China loving McConnell, as I said on another thread, John Thune needs to remove him from the Chairmanship of the Appropriation sub committee for Defense. Yank him out since he says DOD is so important, it's obvious the POS will have a bias against Hegseth and the DOD and therefore should not be Chair. And Collins is just a lost cause. Primary the beech.

The two women have chips on their shoulders and always think they are the smartest people in the room. They go against the majority just because they can. Mitch just hates Trump. If the Republicans had picked up one or two more MAGA senators, Murkowski and Collins could be isolated until they get with the program.

Maybe it's time to consider not planning any vacations or trips to the states of Alaska, Maine or Kentucky until the citizens of those states replace their Rino senators. At minimum majority leader Thune should remove these three senators from any committees they serve on. Let them monitor the Capitol lunch room menu. As the saying goes, "You're either with us or against us". Look's like these three reprobates have chosen their side.

Policy will be set by the POTUS. There are plenty of experts who will help in implementing nad budgeting. What Hegseth will do is relight the warrior spirit of our armed forces. The importance of this is something the two RINO ladies are simply not capable of understanding. As for the Turtle, he did what his Chinese masters told him to do.

McConnell said the Number One concern in America is the Ukraine/Russia War. I believe Murkowski won in the previous election by write-ins, and this recent election by rank/choice voting - both are non-reflective of the electorate. It was sickening a couple of years ago to see the Republicans tenderfootedly plead with Dame Collins to vote for Brett Kavanaugh. We're even more doomed here in MN with our two Dem senators: Corrupt Amy who just got reelected and Smith. a former executive of Planned Parenthood.
