Establishment media personalities say they are already worn out from covering President Donald Trump and his resurgent drive to deliver the “Golden Age of America.”[snip] With Trump’s return, his executive orders, pardons, and policies are already flooding the media landscape, such as Thursday’s bombshell report of ICE capturing illegal aliens and deporting them. Day four “feels like month four,” Puck’s Tara Palmeri whined Thursday, noting she was hesitant to report the news for fear of “piling on to the deluge of Trump news.”

These "media elites" should be grateful they still have jobs ~ at least for now. In a normal world people who want to keep their jobs would have serious motivation to DO those jobs. I suggest they stop the whining; after all we have alternative media outlets that are only too happy to take up the slack....and actually do a better job than these "elites". I hope to see real changes for Karoline Leavitt's press briefings. I guess we'll soon see.

While trying to coordinate their lies is definitely stressful, another problem for the media is that they are grossly incompetent. They act as an echo chamber for the Left. They are programed for the daily message and dumbly repeat it endlessly. They are not much better than parrots. Trump and his people are VERY competent and they have all their very logical ducks in a row and backed up by facts. The media morons can't think fast enough to react. Every time they try, they get their heads handed to them. That adds to the stress. It's like a weekend tennis player squaring off against a top seed of tennis. It just isn't going to end well. On top of that, the arrogance that the media carries around causes them to not be able to sense how overmatched they are. And finally, Trump is not playing around this time. He is dead serious and he knows his opposition. He is NOT going to play nice and they are going to be put through a meat grinder because they so richly deserve it. I seriously wonder if the alphabet networks and CNN and MSNBC will be around come the next election. They are dying financially and their credibility is a joke. No serious Republican nor many Independents will trust them any time soon no matter what they do, and they REFUSE to stop hitting themselves on their heads with a sledge hammer.

Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) had good qualities. He pushed through Trump’s judicial nominees during the first presidency, got his tax cuts passed, and is a noted legislative strategist and tactician. It doesn’t mean he always bats a thousand, but McConnell got key portions of the Trump agenda passed after the 2016 election. Now, he’s erased all that goodwill with this dastardly vote against Pete Hegseth for secretary of defense. McConnell’s defection, plus that of Sens. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) and Susan Collins (R-ME), led to Vice President JD Vance performing his constitutional duty to break the tie.

Many Trump supporters believe that Trump won the 2024 election because, this time, the vote for Trump was “too big to rig.” Others dismiss the concern about “stolen elections” because Trump won the popular vote in addition to the electoral vote, plus a GOP majority in the U.S. House and Senate. The reality is that elections are still corruptible. While Democrats didn’t rig the presidential race this time around, the narrow congressional majority probably means that down-ballot races were still manipulated...something Democrats can and will do again.

When the Senate voted 51-49 yesterday to advance Pete Hegseth’s nomination as Secretary of Defense, I assumed he was in. But I learned earlier today that there was grave doubt about his confirmation, because two more Republican senators–in addition to Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski–were likely to vote No. So tonight’s vote held plenty of suspense. Only when Thom Tillis of North Carolina announced that he was a Yes did Republicans breathe a sigh of relief. Mitch McConnell was the other potential turncoat, and he did, indeed, vote No, along with Collins and Murkowski. So the tally was 50-50, and JD Vance broke the tie in Hegseth’s (and Trump’s) favor.
