I have always thought the feds should dedicate judges to the deportation process and have lawyers available. Catch and immediately put them in front of a judge and then on the next plane out. Justice is served and not drug out by the current judicial system.

A much more pleasing picture than watching them waltz across the Rio Grande into our country. I hope there are no parachutes on board in case of an emergency.

Love it! No nice seats in a commercial airliner. They get to sit on the floor or the hard benches in a military transport with no drinks or snacks, no attendants except those carrying machine guns and probably no toilet. Looks like they’re handcuffed too. MAGA!!!!

President Donald Trump’s Department of Homeland Security is filling President Joe Biden’s gaps in the nation’s border wall. Trump’s new border patrol chief, Michael Banks, touted the wall construction in a Saturday tweet: “Efforts like installing wall panels to fill critical gaps in Deming, New Mexico, exemplify our commitment to enhancing infrastructure and operational effectiveness.” (X) The expanded concrete-and-steel wall will complement Trump’s many other border measures. Those changes include the deployment of more border guards and the rollout of legal changes that minimize loopholes in the border law.

Trump recently commented on the fact that of all the pardons issued by Biden, he didn’t pardon himself. Or did he? CNN’s Jake Tapper was talking to NY Times journalist Maggie Haberman this week and casually suggested that it’s possible Joe Biden secretly pardoned himself before leaving office. That sounds like kind of a big deal, if true. Wouldn’t it be nice if journalists actually did their jobs and found out if this happened? RedState has details: CNN anchor Jake Tapper is raising some eyebrows by speculating that there is a possibility former President Joe Biden may have issued a pardon no one knows about.

Alien hunting! Alien hunting! We knew the mass deportations were going to begin right away, and it was likely that some of the targeted cities were going to leak to the press, though it was an open secret as to which urban enclave would be raided. In Los Angeles, it’s already begun with ICE agents and other federal law enforcement officers. The illegals get detained, and military planes export them the hell out of our country. ATF, DEA, and the US Marshal Service have been granted deportation powers.

Dear news media and DC establishment types, I’m here to say one thing: we don’t care. There’s a lot of clamoring about what President Donald J. Trump did on Friday night: give at least 12 inspectors general the axe. They heard those two famous words: ‘You’re fired.’ Yet, some note that this violated policy, as the Senate must be informed of such termination within 30 days (via WaPo) [emphasis mine]: The White House late Friday fired the independent inspectors general of at least 14 major federal agencies in a purge that could clear the way for President Donald Trump to install loyalists

A prominent Hollywood talent manager believes that Kamala Harris’ loss to President Donald Trump in November shows that Hollywood no longer drives the culture as it once did since the plethora of celebrities who endorsed Harris failed to alter the outcome of the election. “Hollywood doesn’t matter as much as it thinks it matters,” the unnamed talent manager with A-list clients told Vulture. “You had the biggest stars in the world support Kamala Harris. She couldn’t have drawn more powerful advocates. And it didn’t move the needle. What does that tell you? It’s unsettling because the people and things you hold in high esteem don’t drive the culture.

Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) had good qualities. He pushed through Trump’s judicial nominees during the first presidency, got his tax cuts passed, and is a noted legislative strategist and tactician. It doesn’t mean he always bats a thousand, but McConnell got key portions of the Trump agenda passed after the 2016 election. Now, he’s erased all that goodwill with this dastardly vote against Pete Hegseth for secretary of defense. McConnell’s defection, plus that of Sens. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) and Susan Collins (R-ME), led to Vice President JD Vance performing his constitutional duty to break the tie.

Pete Hegseth squeaked through his Senate confirmation on Friday and became America’s new secretary of defense, but he needn't thank Republican senators Mitch McConnell, Lisa Murkowski, and Susan Collins. For all three long-time establishment and anti-Trump senators, the main objection to Hegseth stepping into the top Pentagon job was that they believe he lacks the prerequisite experience to run the mammoth organization. Why Didn’t the Democrats Steal the 2024

Many Trump supporters believe that Trump won the 2024 election because, this time, the vote for Trump was “too big to rig.” Others dismiss the concern about “stolen elections” because Trump won the popular vote in addition to the electoral vote, plus a GOP majority in the U.S. House and Senate. The reality is that elections are still corruptible. While Democrats didn’t rig the presidential race this time around, the narrow congressional majority probably means that down-ballot races were still manipulated...something Democrats can and will do again.

President Donald Trump fired 17 independent watchdogs at multiple government agencies on Friday, a person with knowledge of the matter said, eliminating a critical oversight component and clearing the way to replace them with loyalists. The inspectors general at agencies including the departments of state, defense and transportation were notified by emails from the White House personnel director that they had been terminated immediately, the source said on condition of anonymity. The dismissals appeared to violate federal law, which requires the president to give both houses of Congress reasons for the dismissals 30 days in advance.

When the Senate voted 51-49 yesterday to advance Pete Hegseth’s nomination as Secretary of Defense, I assumed he was in. But I learned earlier today that there was grave doubt about his confirmation, because two more Republican senators–in addition to Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski–were likely to vote No. So tonight’s vote held plenty of suspense. Only when Thom Tillis of North Carolina announced that he was a Yes did Republicans breathe a sigh of relief. Mitch McConnell was the other potential turncoat, and he did, indeed, vote No, along with Collins and Murkowski. So the tally was 50-50, and JD Vance broke the tie in Hegseth’s (and Trump’s) favor.
