Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson Wore a Symbol
of Resistance to the Inauguration

If you have to be somewhere you don’t want to be — like, say, the inauguration of Donald Trump — you may as well make it known you’re not down with the program. At least, that’s what it seems Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson did. Yesterday, during the inauguration, while Mark Zuckerberg was yucking it up with Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez and Elon Musk simply could not hold himself back from throwing a thumbs-up to the camera, Justice Jackson sat quietly. With her judicial robes, she wore a collar and a pair of earrings made up of cowrie

Comments:

Thankfully Biden only got 1 Supreme Court appointment. We don't need any more who always need to be making a statement of dissent.

It looked like the witch doctor made her a bullet proof vest. I recall a story I read years ago, in a news publication published in Africa, about a man who went to the witch doctor to make him bullet proof. After preparing the concoction, the man drank it, and asked the witch doctor to run a test. The test was run, the customer died, and what happened next I do not know. True story from the news. (I wonder if it was a lifetime warranty.)

Cowrie shells were typically used as currency and trade in Africa, so I get that she wanted to wear something highlighting her heritage but it struck me as odd that shed want to wear it as a Supreme Court judge. Was she trying to say she was bought and sold to the USSC??? How deficient in logic was she?! And if she wanted to say yet an umpteenth thing about muh peepuhl slaves, well...honey those cowries only meant something to other Africans (who were the ones who captured and enslaved your people first). Once they left the shores, cowries were about as valuable as pebbles to everyone else.

The House should impeach her for bias and not faithfully administering her oath. Sure it wouldn't amount to anything but it would put the m out political Chief Just-Us, Roberts, on noticed that everyone can see the Supreme Joke is a Joke! Everyone could see its about the politics, not not the law. At a minimum, it would force Roberts and the other 4 liberals on the court to do a better job hiding their bias.

strange that a women who does not know what a women is wears a necklace defending women. Biden put her on the court for her political views. When the justices sit together at the SOU address, they are not allowed to applaud or stand or show any of their likes or dislike's of the speech. they are suppose to be impartial. no opinions shown by aby member of the court. By wearing her shells she was blatantly showing her disapproval of President Trump and over 75 million Americans that voted for him. contrary to beliefs, Supreme Court Justices can be impeached. Brown Jackson, along with Roberts, should be impeached. ONLY Constitutional lawyers should be on the court.

Well, hopefully she is better at resisting than she is at the law because she is grossly incompetent at that. She took an oath to support the Constitution but all her rulings show she has no respect for it and doesn't understand it. To Leftists, the law is what THEY say it is. It is transient based on who, what, and when. Therefore, it is chaos, the absence of any meaningful foundation to build a civilization on.

author doesn't have enough "Pull" to get a quote from the Justice herself, certainly not about something as pedestrian as "Fashion". FTA: historians “speculate the cowries may have been brought to America as talismans to resist enslavement.” (Jackson’s ancestors were enslaved.) This article appears to be - and hopefully is - pure speculation. How sad it would be that a SC Justice can’t see how blessed she is to have risen so far above her ancestral beginnings, to the highest court in the greatest country on earth, and that “quiet resistance” is the reason for wearing cowries over her Supreme Court judicial robes. Cowrie talismans didn’t free her ancestors! A more positive reason would be in honoring the memory of her ancestors, the fact that she is an American, and celebrating the victories which did free them because of the biblical precepts and principles within America’s Founding Documents.

Far-left Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) is urging civil disobedience against Donald Trump’s slew of executive orders. Since taking office on Monday, Trump has signed a slew of executive orders targeting everything from immigration and the border all the way through to ending DEI and dismantling the deep state. In one of her regular live stream videos in which she lays out the roadmap to a socialist America, the New York Congresswoman urged people to simply ignore or disobey executive orders signed by the president. She explained:

Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) claimed Thursday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” that President Donald Trump had “legitimized” political violence against Democrats. When asked about the J6 pardons, Murphy said, “I mean, let’s let’s really talk about who he let out of prison this week, who walked out of prison. The guy walked out of prison this week that pepper sprayed multiple officers to the point where one had a heart attack, he let out of jail this week. People who were beating police officers over the head with poles he let out of jail. Someone who said when he arrived in Washington that day there will be blood.

On January 21st, 2025, President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance attended the Service of Prayer for the Nation at the National Cathedral. As a believer, I attended the service for the purpose of praying for our nation, President Trump, the president’s family, and the success of his administration. I purposely left the prayer service early after realizing how the pulpit was being used for left-wing activism and not for true worship unto God, to seek His will and wisdom. Mr. President, what accosted you at the prayer service was political–not biblical.

It looks like the woke bishop who tried and failed to humiliate President Trump has some explaining to do. Bishop Marianne Budde made headlines when she went on a gaslighting LGBTQ diatribe at the National Prayer Service on Tuesday. President Trump and First Lady Melania along with J.D. Vance, wife Usha, and family members were in attendance and graciously stomached the lecture from Budde. Now it seems, there’s more to the story, according to Townhall columnist and “Minnesota GOP hype man” Dustin Grage. “This chick was at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Minneapolis for almost two decades,” Grage said on X. “Guess who was in charge of the planning for inauguration? Senator Amy Klobuchar.

Former Vice President Kamala Harris is still trying to process her election loss to Donald Trump. And she's seeking counsel from the only source who can vaguely relate to the humiliation — Hillary Clinton. While the two share the struggle of coming to terms with spectacular defeats in their own rights, it's clear Harris, at least, is still eyeing a political future. Perhaps even the presidency. On that, there is little surprise. Reports have already surfaced indicating Harris has been actively instructing her advisers and allies to keep her political options open. That includes the possibility of a 2028 presidential run or a bid for the governorship in California in 2026.

As you know, President Trump kept one of his biggest promises: he pardoned all the January 6th political prisoners on day one. That’s the good news. The bad news is that reports suggest that some of these prisoners still haven’t been released, despite the fact that a presidential pardon is absolute and immediate.(snip)Now, more rumors are swirling. This time, we’re hearing unconfirmed reports that DC jail guards—suspected of abusing and beating January 6th prisoners—are in full-blown panic mode. In perhaps the most shocking, least expected twist of the last decade, Karine Jean-Pierre, the first "black, queer, immigrant" to hold the role of White House press secretary, has figured out why she faced so much criticism on the job. You didn't guess it because it's a move that no one could have foreseen, but she's...playing the race card. Vanity Fair is out with a new profile of Jean-Pierre (written by Jean-Pierre herself) because I guess they think Americans are dying for more information on the worst press secretary in presidential history. In it, she claims she faced unique hardships because of her race, sexual orientation, and immigration history.

Sen. Lisa Murkowski announced Thursday that she will vote against confirming Pete Hegseth to lead the Pentagon, becoming the first Republican to oppose one of President Donald Trump’s Cabinet picks ahead of a crucial test vote. Murkowski, of Alaska, said in a lengthy statement that allegations of excessive drinking and aggressive actions toward women, which Hegseth has denied, show that his behaviors “starkly contrast” with what is expected of the U.S. military. She also noted his past statements that women should not fill military combat roles. “I remain concerned about the message that confirming Mr. Hegseth sends to women currently serving and those aspiring to join,” Murkowski wrote on social media.

Things may not be as rosy behind the scenes as Kamala Harris tried to project while watching President Donald Trump be sworn in on Monday. Sitting next to her husband, the former vice president put on a good face, but according to a new report, Doug Emhoff is now drawing ire. As RedState reported, Emhoff was at the center of multiple scandals during the ill-fated Harris campaign. Those include him committing adultery and getting his family's nanny pregnant as well as heavily corroborated allegation that he slapped an ex-girlfriend in public while drunk. Notably, Harris refused to address either situation, and Emhoff himself never denied either of them,

New York State has 670,000 residents who are illegal migrants – including 42,300 undocumented restaurant employees and 48,500 undocumented construction workers, an eye-opening report released Thursday said.
