This morning, while people were still sweeping up confetti and collecting empty champagne flutes from the inaugural balls, President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and their wives attended the National Prayer Service at the National Cathedral. For the more liturgically-minded readers and those wayward Episcopalians, the order of service can be found here. A certain amount of ecumenicism is to be expected and appreciated at such a service. Jesse J. Swann, Jr., chief of the Piscataway Conoy Tribe, gave the invocation. Rabbi Susan N. Shankman read from Deuteronomy 10:17-21, and cantor Susan Bortnick offered the Jewish call to prayer. Three federal judges in Washington, DC, reluctantly dropped the cases of several Jan. 6 rioters who were among the 1,500 protesters President Trump pardoned on his first day in office.
“No pardon can change the tragic truth of what happened on January 6, 2021,” said Judge Tanya Chutkan in a ruling Wednesday dismissing the pending case against, John Banuelos.
Chutkan — an appointee of former President Barack Obama — is the same judge who oversaw the 2020 election interference case against Trump, 78, before it was dropped by the feds when Trump was reelected.
Prosecutors moved for dismissal of the case against Trump since a sitting president receives absolute immunity from federal prosecution.
By now no one should be surprised at President Trump’s sweeping reversals of the conventional wisdom on everything from A (asylum) to W (wilderness access) — sorry, no executive orders affecting anything beginning with Z yet.
But in revoking President Lyndon Johnson’s 1965 Executive Order 11246 that launched our decades-long imposition of de facto racial quotas under the euphemism “affirmative action,” Trump has gone beyond the boldest imagination of any previous administration.
A brief history: When the Civil Rights Act of 1964’s Title VII — the clause banning racial discrimination in hiring — was debated in the Senate, opponents charged it would lead to racial quotas.

The United States Capitol Police (USCP) find themselves in the very awkward position of having to explain how an armed man made it through their security screening process, leaving him free to wander the Capitol with a 9mm handgun tucked into his waistband. Worse yet, this happened a mere 24 hours after Donald Trump took the oath of office in the Capitol Rotunda.
The security breach happened Tuesday afternoon, when a 27-year-old man from Massachusetts was able the clear the security screening area at the south checkpoint of the Capitol Visitors Center despite the magnetometers going off and a pat down being conducted by an officer.

If you ever want to see a liberal firing squad, this woman embodies it with her incessant and often laughably anti-Trump posts because they’re so insane. Never have I seen someone so obsessed. Yet, this tweet was too good to pass up for some regarding dunking on her. She wrote, “Kinda funny that MAGA wants us to “get over” January 6th and “look forward not back,” when they still haven’t gotten over losing the Civil f*****g War.”
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis just showed exactly why he’s one of the most unapologetic and effective leaders in the nation. In a recent press briefing, DeSantis schooled a reporter for using the misleading and euphemistic term “undocumented” to describe illegal immigrants. It was a masterclass in setting the record straight.
“Florida is home to hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants who are working in areas,” Erik Avanier of WGXT News Channel 4 in Jacksonville began, but before he could finish, DeSantis cut him off.
“Well, you know… So the federal government has made clear that the statutory term, it’s not undocumented, they’re illegal aliens. That’s the statutory term,”

Bishop Marianne Budde made headlines when she went on a gaslighting LGBTQ diatribe at the National Prayer Service on Tuesday.
President Trump and First Lady Melania along with J.D. Vance, wife Usha, and family members were in attendance and graciously stomached the lecture from Budde.
Now it seems, there’s more to the story, according to Townhall columnist and “Minnesota GOP hype man” Dustin Grage.
“This chick was at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Minneapolis for almost two decades,” Grage said on X. “Guess who was in charge of the planning for inauguration? Senator Amy Klobuchar.

Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) claimed Thursday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” that President Donald Trump had “legitimized” political violence against Democrats.

Daniel Charles Ball, a Florida resident recently pardoned by President Donald Trump for his involvement in the January 6 Capitol protest, has been rearrested on unrelated federal gun charges.
Ball, 39, hailing from Homosassa, Florida, was initially arrested in May 2023 for his alleged participation in the Capitol events.
He faced multiple charges, including assaulting police officers with a deadly weapon and using an explosive device during the protest. Denied bail, Ball remained in pretrial detention in Washington, D.C., awaiting trial.
Four illegal immigrants have been arrested in connection with a series of burglaries targeting wealthy neighborhoods, including an Ohio home where Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow lives.
Cincinnati NBC news outlet WLWT reported that the suspects were identified as Alexander Chavez, Bastian Morales, Jordan Sanchez and Sergio Cabello, all Chilean nationals.

The report from the liberal-leaning Fiscal Policy Institute revealed an underground economy of migrant workers in the Empire State, where 1.8 million residents are non-citizens that may also include green card holders.
