This basically makes them unemployable as intelligence contractors and consultants. Without a TS clearance you have no access to classified material or even classified facilities. As soon as this goes into effect their email and building access will be terminated. Also their employment contracts are contingent upon their ability to maintain a clearance.

Should be done on day 1, and Congress should take additional steps to censure them.

Excellent first step. Next step is to make sure that once someone leaves government employment, their government security clearance ends. There is no reason, unless they are still working, to keep their clearances. If their new employer wants them to have a security clearance, they can pay for the vetting process to help them get a new one.

How stupid of them to have put their names on the phony document, thinking they would end Trump's political career forever, and all be given even higher positions in the intelligence community.

Now pull their retirements to cover a fraction of the costs they've burdened America with. Not that it'll happen, nor would it make much of a dent. But the true damages, like the institutional rot within our Officialdoms, runs far deeper than any consequences these vipers will ever pay.

They sure showed how stupid they were by putting their name to that obviously false election obstructing document. Why trust them for anything else?
One of the talents of a good liar like Slick Willy is knowing when there is not enough weasel room in the lie for getting out. Like "We thought it had the possibility of perhaps maybe looking like it might have the earmarks that lead us to believe that it could definitely be RUSSIAN DISINFORMATION."

Watch for a list of new books and new authors. May they all write "best sellers" from white-crime prisons, at least until the tennis courts and swim pools are open again. They'll make more money than they ripped off from tax payers.

Pulling their security clearances is the right thing to do. That does not mean that they can’t be investigated, convicted, and thrown in prison when the complete real stories of their interference becomes known.

Why these people were allowed to keep their clearance after they left their job is beyond me. When I had a TS/SCI clearance and was force retrained, I lost my TS because I was no longer in a position that required it.

Suspensions can be lifted. Termination or revocation needs to be applied. These people should really be charged with election interference, since studies have documented that had this information been known 15% of the Dem populace would have changed their vote.

They knew the laptop was real. E-mails are like fingerprints. Easily proven authentic. It would take less than a half hour to prove they were authentic. By saying "it has all the earmarkings of.." instead of "It is not Hunters...", they believed that it would protect them from being caught lying and maybe being charged with a crime. I still think it's plain and simple election interference on a conspiratorial scale.

I suspect that every single one of them has false back-door UserIDs. They need to lock the entire system and re-authorize. Would get rid of all the fake Chinese UserIDs at the same time.

About time these anti-Americans were cut off...they messed with a presidential election 2020...and now they will be cut off....now...do I think they won't get the information anyway...I'm sure some little goose stepping liberal will feed them the classified reports...but it won't be so easy now...and they are not thought of as trustworthy in Washington...and that's probably the best punishment....they made their bed...and now they must lie in it....

What they signed off on was simply that the emails had "earmarks" of a Russian disinformation campaign, not that the laptop story & emails actually was a disinformation campaign. Therefore, they didn't technically "lie." But they lent their "good" names and resumes to this Blinkin-organized campaign to fool the American voter into thinking there was nothing to the laptop, when they knew darn well that the laptop was legit. Therefore, these 51 were firmly pressing their thumbs on the scale in favor of Biden and against Trump in 2020. For that, their security clearances are suspended. It would take more time and "due process of law" to permanently revoke their clearances, but maybe that will follow down the road. The theory justifying former CIA higher-ups in retaining their security clearances is to preserve "institutional memory" within the intelligence community so that if some old issue arises, the current intelligence community can confer with the retirees and learn what they think is going on. In reality, this is just a means of keeping more people in the loop than is necessary. Heck, Hillary still has her security clearance and still gets copies of intelligence reports. These retirees are paid plenty as for consulting with corporations, media, and foreign governments based upon their familiarity with current intelligence reports within the US government. I'm pleased that President Trump suspended their access.
