Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 47th president inside the Capitol Rotunda on Monday, when a polar vortex is forecast to grip the nation’s capital. The president-elect announced the change of plans in a noontime Truth Social post Friday, writing in part: “There is an Arctic blast sweeping the Country. I don’t want to see people hurt, or injured, in any way. It is dangerous conditions for the tens of thousands of Law Enforcement, First Responders, Police K9s and even horses, and hundreds of thousands of supporters that will be outside for many hours on the 20th (In any event, if you decide to come, dress warmly!).

If ever there was proof that Gullible Warming is real - - this is it. We're no longer at a tipping poit - - we've gone way beyond it. The extreme heat at the North Pole is forcing brutally cold air to flee southward. Before long Barbados will be a big ice cube. The cold air will continue southward - - reaching and passing the South Pole. The entire world will then be a big iceball because of Gullible Warming. No - - no, I mean a big fireball. Yes - - a fireball - - or something between an iceball and a fireball. I think.

I'm so relieved that it will be inside and not out in the frigid weather. William Henry Harrison the ninth President served from March 4 to April 4, 1841 caught a cold and died. President Trump is use to the nice Florida sunshine. Plus, rumors say that some unsavory people are planning to destroy public monuments around Washington, DC. Plus the White House and Capitol. As well as Mar- A-Largo. Pray with all your heart for the safety of President Trump and his VP and their families that evil will not prevail.

Reagan had to move his inside. Wind chill made it 40 below. I think it's a wise move, although some of the media will find a way to criticize him for doing it. If he had gone ahead with it outside and one person gotten frostbite, they would have also trashed Trump for being heartless and unfeeling. I am also grateful that this helps with security. There is no telling when some leftist loon will try again. The cold weather should also keep down the idiots who plan to protest. Much nicer and warmer for them to stay inside and smoke some good weed.

California’s eco-bureaucrats halted a wildfire prevention project near the Pacific Palisades to protect an endangered shrub. It’s just the latest clash between fire safety and conservation in California that is coming under scrutiny following the devastating outbreak of the Palisades Fire — the most devastating blaze in Los Angeles history, which has consumed the very same area. In 2019, the LA Department of Water and Power (LADWP) began replacing nearly 100-year-old power line poles cutting through Topanga State Park, when the project was halted within days by conservationists outraged that federally endangered Braunton’s milkvetch plants had been trampled during the process.

A glance across America and Europe leads to an unmistakable conclusion: Revolution is in the air. The failures of democracies are sparking internal upheavals. Thankfully, spasms of violence and bloodshed are few, but a toxic brew of overbearing governments, shrinking freedoms and undeniable decline is producing demands for big changes. A common thread from California to Great Britain, France and Germany is that liberal underpinnings have morphed into sloppy socialism, unchecked immigration, cultural clashes and restraints on critical speech.

The homeless man tackled and zip-tied by onlookers who say he was trying to start fires with a blowtorch near a Los Angeles wildfire is an illegal immigrant who will likely be protected by California’s sanctuary city status, according to a report. The suspect, identified as Juan Manuel Sierra-Leyva, is a Mexican national who is in the United States illegally, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) sources told Fox News. He was chased and taken down by residents of Woodland Hills after they allegedly saw him torching old Christmas trees and debris on fire with what one resident described as a “flamethrower” soon after the massive wildfire began Thursday.

On the LA fires, turns out Democratic incompetence runs all the way up the White House — though Calif. Gov. Gavin Newsom’s still going strong in the “flailing and failing” department. Goodtime Gavin already got slammed this week for his pathetic buck-passing on the city water management crisis making these horrific fires into a full-blown disaster, blaming the dry hydrants hampering firefighters on “local folks.” Next, Newsom was caught on video in a bizarre dodge: A resident of Pacific Palisades demanded to know how he intended to deal with the fact that her daughter’s school had burned down.

The US Treasury Department will start taking "extraordinary measures" next week to avoid risking a default on government debt, Secretary Janet Yellen said Friday, days before President-elect Donald Trump takes office. With the government reaching its borrowing limit, the department would start making the moves on Tuesday, the day after the inauguration, Yellen said in a letter to congressional leaders. That will mean Trump's administration has to grapple immediately with the issue of the debt ceiling. In the past, Congress has routinely voted to lift this bar, but that tool has become a contentious issue, with Republican budget hawks calling for drastic spending reductions instead.
