On his way out, President Joe Biden continues to wreak havoc and cause plenty of confusion. (snip) Biden announced on Friday that the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) is now "the law of the land" as the 28th Amendment to the Constitution as part of yet another desperate attempt to keep focusing on promoting abortion. The eligibility for ratification long expired, according to the National Archives. Several states have also rescinded their ratification. (snip) Further, in January 2022--during Biden's term--the Assistant Attorney General Office of Legal Counsel at the Department of Justice (DOJ) released a memo for the Counsel to the President on the legal status for ratifying the ERA.

Ironic that a party that cannot define what a woman is is getting all hot and bothered about an amendment that allegedly supports women!! The ERA is so last century and no one cares about it any more!!

Those who have no respect for the rule of law and would willingly flaunt the rules and laws in order to have things their own way are the real threats to Democracy.

Mentioned this to the Lady Chihuahua and she pointed out how our nation has anti-discrimination laws at the federal, state, and local levels. Many of our corporations also have rules regarding anti-discrimination. So, what exactly does making this a constitutional amendment bring that we don't already have? My guess: It gives Biden an 'achievement'. He hasn't had any his entire term. Bad news, Joe. He still has no achievements. Did they add DEI and Woke language to the ERA amendment? Can see them trying to sneak it in.

Well, for one thing, he can't amend the Constitution. It has to be voted on, and they couldn't get enough states to ratify it when the ERA was proposed several years ago. They even extended the time for ratification and still couldn't get enough states to ratify. All I can think is that Joe has really lost it now. A first year law student would even know better. It's why the Constitution is so hard to amend. It's to prevent frivolous amendments from being added at the whim of a current trend. Look up the 18th Amendment banning alcohol. That really worked out well and made Al Capone and his friends wealthy.

With only 15 minutes to go as president, Joe Biden snatched infamy from the jaws of obscurity. With record-low polling and widely viewed as a “failed” president, Biden completed his one-man race to the bottom of ethics by issuing preemptive pardons to members of his own family. The pardons were timed to guarantee that the media would not focus on yet another unethical act by this president. He need not have worried. For four years, the media worked tirelessly to deny or deflect the corruption scandal surrounding the Biden family.
