Ratings-challenged CNN will reportedly move veteran anchor Wolf Blitzer to a new slot in the mornings as part of a wider reshuffle by the embattled cable news pioneer’s boss Mark Thompson. The 76-year-old Blitzer, one of the network’s longest-tenured anchors and current host of “The Situation Room” at 6 p.m., will be teamed with Pamela Brown on a new morning show, sources told Status newsletter on Thursday. The shakeup could also include frequent Donald Trump antagonist Jim Acosta being bounced as anchor of “CNN Newsroom” at 10 a.m., the sources said.

Just rearranging the deck chairs in the Titanic. The problem with the Commie News Network is that folks want hard unbiased factual news coverage, not the delusional liberal propaganda spewed by this organization. They apparently don’t understand this . . .

California’s eco-bureaucrats halted a wildfire prevention project near the Pacific Palisades to protect an endangered shrub. It’s just the latest clash between fire safety and conservation in California that is coming under scrutiny following the devastating outbreak of the Palisades Fire — the most devastating blaze in Los Angeles history, which has consumed the very same area. In 2019, the LA Department of Water and Power (LADWP) began replacing nearly 100-year-old power line poles cutting through Topanga State Park, when the project was halted within days by conservationists outraged that federally endangered Braunton’s milkvetch plants had been trampled during the process.

A glance across America and Europe leads to an unmistakable conclusion: Revolution is in the air. The failures of democracies are sparking internal upheavals. Thankfully, spasms of violence and bloodshed are few, but a toxic brew of overbearing governments, shrinking freedoms and undeniable decline is producing demands for big changes. A common thread from California to Great Britain, France and Germany is that liberal underpinnings have morphed into sloppy socialism, unchecked immigration, cultural clashes and restraints on critical speech.

The homeless man tackled and zip-tied by onlookers who say he was trying to start fires with a blowtorch near a Los Angeles wildfire is an illegal immigrant who will likely be protected by California’s sanctuary city status, according to a report. The suspect, identified as Juan Manuel Sierra-Leyva, is a Mexican national who is in the United States illegally, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) sources told Fox News. He was chased and taken down by residents of Woodland Hills after they allegedly saw him torching old Christmas trees and debris on fire with what one resident described as a “flamethrower” soon after the massive wildfire began Thursday.

On the LA fires, turns out Democratic incompetence runs all the way up the White House — though Calif. Gov. Gavin Newsom’s still going strong in the “flailing and failing” department. Goodtime Gavin already got slammed this week for his pathetic buck-passing on the city water management crisis making these horrific fires into a full-blown disaster, blaming the dry hydrants hampering firefighters on “local folks.” Next, Newsom was caught on video in a bizarre dodge: A resident of Pacific Palisades demanded to know how he intended to deal with the fact that her daughter’s school had burned down.

Although his presidency and his legacy have been thoroughly repudiated—whether it be through the polls, which show he’s one of the lowest-rates presidents of all time, or at the ballot box where his hand-picked successor Kamala Harris was brutalized in the November elections—his tenure has been thoroughly tainted by an astounding record of failure. Inflation has killed the dreams of regular folks as just paying for groceries has become a traumatic experience; young people have no hope of buying a home or living the American Dream—considering the crushing interest rates and noxious cost of living. Meanwhile, wars rage on the international stage.

The failure of progressive leadership has been exposed in a way that it has never been before as disastrous wildfires wipe out entire neighborhoods in deep-blue Los Angeles, a result not only of natural forces like unusually high winds and dry conditions but by the epic breakdown of any real leadership in the Golden State and the misplaced priorities of elected officials like LA Mayor Karen Bass and camera-addicted Gov.
