The Georgia State Ethics commission slapped a record $300,00 fine on a nonprofit founded by Stacey Abrams Wednesday for failing to disclose millions of dollars the entity spent to aid her failed 2018 gubernatorial campaign. Democratic Georgia Sen. Raphael Warnock ran the New Georgia Project, an allegedly nonpartisan voting advocacy nonprofit founded by Abrams, during the time the entity illegally aided Abrams’ 2018 campaign until his run for Senate in 2020, according to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution. The nonprofit and the New Georgia Project Action Fund, a closely aligned nonprofit, spent a combined $3.2 million registering voters and attempting to persuade thousands of Georgians

$300,000? I believe that the fine should equal the amount of the illegal 'contribution'. If I read the article correctly, the amount is $3,200,000.

The 2018 elections in Georgia were a farce. They air dropped ballots to any one who breathed or didn't. I have a friend who lives in Georgia, on a Green Card status, got three unsolicited ballots in the mail which she destroyed. How many other people in Georgia did this happen to and they sent the filled in ballots? We don't know do we? The elections were rigged and Trump is right. That whole gang who ran and adjudicated any protests are crooked.

I have lived in Georgia all my 82 years and Fulton and Dekalb County have always been a little suspect on vote integrity. In the old days they passed out pints of whisky in exchange for votes. In the last 20 years, vote fraud has become blatant and they baarely make an effort to hide it.

Donald Trump and his attorney general will be bombarded with requests for pardons, reversals of course in legal cases, and other executive actions from the moment that Trump returns to the Oval Office. He should put clearing Dr. Eithan Haim near the top of his list. While he’s at it, that list should extend to nonviolent pro-life protesters and other targets of the ceaseless and indefensible culture war waged by the Justice Department under Merrick Garland. Some of those deserve pardons. Dr. Haim just needs the government to stop persecuting him.

Joe Biden just can’t seem to let go. Although his presidency and his legacy have been thoroughly repudiated—whether it be through the polls, which show he’s one of the lowest-rates presidents of all time, or at the ballot box where his hand-picked successor Kamala Harris was brutalized in the November elections—his tenure has been thoroughly tainted by an astounding record of failure. Inflation has killed the dreams of regular folks as just paying for groceries has become a traumatic experience; young people have no hope of buying a home or living the American Dream—considering the crushing interest rates and noxious cost of living. Meanwhile, wars rage on the international stage.

President Joe Biden said Friday he is commuting the sentences of more than 2,000 people convicted of nonviolent drug offenses, cementing his legacy as the president who has issued the most individual pardons and commutations in U.S. history. Biden said in a statement that commuting the nearly 2,500 sentences would help "equalize" sentencing disparities. "Today’s clemency action provides relief for individuals who received lengthy sentences based on discredited distinctions between crack and powder cocaine, as well as outdated sentencing enhancements for drug crimes," he said. "This action is an important step toward righting historic wrongs, correcting sentencing disparities, and providing deserving individuals

Young helped people escape from Afghanistan; CNN smeared him as an “illegal profiteer” operating within a “black market.” Apparently it is now conceded that this was false. Young alleges that CNN’s smear destroyed his business.
