In what will certainly stir controversy on the right, JD Vance made an important clarification about how the incoming Donald Trump administration will handle January 6th participants: Violent offenders will not be pardoned. Speaking to Shannon Bream on "Fox News Sunday," Vance was asked who exactly would be eligible for a pardon. The soon-to-be-vice president didn't shy away from the question. Many of the larger Trump-supporting accounts on social media are already lashing out at Vance, but it needs to be noted that neither Donald Trump nor JD Vance ever promised a blanket pardon for all those charged over January 6th.

Let's compare J6 blanket pardons to biden's pardons and the numerous violent criminals that state DAs refuse to prosecute and/or let go free. I'll accept specific pardons for J6ers, but I demand that politicians, the CP, FBI, etc. are prosecuted for their part in the shame insurrection, the theft of the presidency, and anything else they've done. That's a fair ask.

Someone stirring the pot again about JD Vance or Donald Trump. I have no idea why this remark would upset anyone. After all, there were some people inserted in the crowd to stir up trouble and it did become violent. Why should they be pardoned?

It doesn't upset me in the least. There were violent people there who deserve punishment. There were non-violent people there too who do not. It's not hard to understand.

While many people should be pardoned immediately, others deserve a case by case examination and review before being pardoned. This protects everyone. What also must be reviewed is who was and was no prosecuted for J6. This includes many government plants who helped instigate violence and unrest. They also need to review the acts of some of the Capitol Police such as Byrd who shot Ashli Babbit.

Trump needs to get this right and take care of it immediately and not do anything to legitimize the J6 farce. There was very little actual violence from the Trump supporters and none that warrant the 4 years in the DC gulag that the protesters have endured.
1. Pardon all who have not been convicted of a violent crime.
2. Commute the sentences of all prisoners who were convicted of a violent offense.
3. Establish a J6 pardon review process whereby those who were unjustly convicted by the DC kangaroo court system of a violent crime can receive a pardon.

I doubt the ones who were planted (by the feds) in the crowds that day to cause trouble/violence were ever prosecuted. See Ray Epps. Of course, you cannot pardon those wrongly charged/convicted who committed suicide. I would recommend everyone listen to the podcast or later today or tomorrow of the weekly appearance of Joe DiGenova on talk radio WMAL.com/Larry O'Connor show. He had some choice comments about the J6ers on this morning's show. Sum it up - blanket pardon for them all.

Define "violent" and, if in doubt of the definition, ask Lieutenant Michael Leroy Byrd of the Capitol Police.

Free them at this point…it was a political move and unworthy of America. I want blanket pardon or I will be deeply disappointed

It seems like some broad categories are easy to define.
If you were outside and never scuffled with the police but are still being persecuted, you deserve a pardon.
If you went inside a building where you were technically not supposed to be in but did not break windows or scuffle with the police, and are still being persecuted, you should get a pardon.
If you broke doors or windows and entered illegally, your sentence should be commuted and you could request consideration for a pardon.
If you clearly significantly scuffled with the police, you should go before an independent review board.
If you are being held in jail without being charged or a conviction you should be immediately released.
If you have been charged but not convicted and still being held in jail, you should get unconditional bail, unless there are unusual circumstances.
If you have been convicted your case should go before an independent review board.

Let's see the violence Vance is speaking about and compare that to 4 years of jail these people have already endured, and without a trial. Vance needs to walk back what he said, and fast. All J6er's that are in jail or who are listed for roundup and persecution should be pardoned. The only violence was done by the FBI or their puppets, Capitol Police, ATF, other government agencies, Antifa, BLM types, and Nancy Pelosi. The injustice against Trump and supporters is so GREAT that an immediate pardon is necessary, and that will never be enough to correct the injustice done to the J6ers. The Democrats have to be prosecuted and put in jail for what they have done. If Vance wants to die on this hill, he will, and DeSantis will be the nominee in 2028.

Apologies for second post but, please. J6ers got federal prison time for breaking a window or trespassing. And they are not serving their time in a federal prison camp. And if a useless Capitol Police officer loaned a flash bang or smoke grenade at me for just standing there waving my Trump flag - yeah, I would have pushed back on him/her.

Define Violent! Walking in to open doors at the Capitol IS NOT VIOLENT. The Capitol Police acting on Pelousy's orders LET THEM IN, TO SET THEM UP! I want to hear about prosecuting all the scum that set this up, the J6 Committee that was a SHAM, and especially the bad cop that shot Ashley Babbit in cold blood!

Violent offenders? Like Ray Epps? 99.9% of the people just walked in, doors held open by smiling Capitol cops. There were a net of FOUR windows broken. All the violence was the Capitol police shooting one unarmed woman to death and beating another to death. NO Capitol police were harmed in any way, regardless of the endlessly repeated lies to the contrary.
