A controversial Canadian Islamic group called Hizb ut Tahrir Canada has resumed its annual Khilafah Conference, an event that calls for rule by a global “caliphate” under sharia law.
Hizb ut-Tahrir (“Party of Liberation”) is a worldwide Islamist militant organization whose British branch was banned as a terrorist entity in January 2024. The group has urged violence to annihilate Israel and “liberate” the Palestinians and openly supports the October 7 atrocities perpetrated by Hamas. Its manifesto calls for Islam to “encapsulate” the world, imposing strict Muslim law in every nation.
“Hizb ut-Tahrir is an antisemitic organization that actively promotes and encourages terrorism, including praising and celebrating the appalling 7 October attacks,”

President Joe Biden claimed credit for the ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas, but President-elect Donald Trump’s incoming special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, reportedly headed up key negotiations last week.
After a press conference Wednesday, in which Biden praised his national security officials who failed for months to reach a deal, a reporter asked whether he or Trump deserved credit for reaching an agreement.“Is that a joke?” Biden responded, walking away from reporters.
During the press conference, Biden credited “many peacemakers” with bringing about the deal, including outgoing Secretary of State Antony Blinken, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, and Vice President Kamala Harris for reaching the agreement.

President Joe Biden’s State Department is admitting that President-elect Donald Trump’s team was critical in securing a peace deal between Israel and Hamas.
State Department Spokesman Matthew Miller praised Trump and his team during Wednesday’s State Department press briefing.“When it comes to the involvement of President-elect Trump’s team, it has been absolutely critical in getting this deal over the line,” Miller said.
Miller added the involvement is critical because of the multiple phases in the agreement, which the Trump administration will essentially have to carry out considering Biden leaves office on Monday.

Jack Smith, the dutiful DOJ attack dog unleashed to take down President Trump and eliminate him from the 2024 race, has finally let the truth slip about January 6th. Whether it was a blunder or a last-resort confession doesn’t matter—the fact is, it’s now on the official record: President Trump never incited an insurrection, because there wasn’t one.(snip) But how, you ask, did this undeniable truth finally see the light of day? Well, it’s buried in the January 6th Special Counsel report. The very same report where Jack Smith and Merrick Garland admit they desperately wanted to charge President Trump with violating the “Insurrection Act.” (snip) they couldn’t.

Appearing on the increasingly insufferable former new channel, both Senator Mullin and Senator Hegseth now see an increasingly optimistic future for Defense Secretary nominee, Pete Hegseth.
Hegseth’s hearing clearly showcased a worn-out playbook of resistance being deployed by the Democrats in the Senate. Their foot stomping was childish and is increasingly positioning the Democrat party as irrelevant in the larger picture of U.S politics. Perhaps we are finally beyond the end of an error. We can hope.(snip)The mechanisms, systems and institutions of U.S. government, must be severely unmeshed from defining and influencing permitted activity by the American people. The bureaucracy must be destroyed,

Amy Coney Barrett strikes again—alongside Justice Roberts. However, by now, Roberts’ betrayals have become pretty much predictable, but many had high hopes for Barrett, given her history as a clerk for Justice Scalia, one of the greatest Supreme Court Justices of our time. In fact, she was once hailed as “Scalia’s heir.” (snip)Thanks to Roberts and Coney Barrett, Trump was dragged through the lawfare circus in New York City and sentenced by deep state lapdog Judge Merchan.

If excuses were good for putting out fires, California’s Democrat chief executive Gavin Newsom could have his state fixed in a jiffy.
As California sailed into the weekend literally ablaze, Newsom thought there was no better time to sit for a half-hour podcast interview with a former Obama administration official. It was beautiful and truly everything we’ve grown to expect from a Democrat in a position of authority.
In 30 minutes, Newsom explained that every criticism leveled at him is “misinformation,” that he is just as much a victim as anyone who saw his home burn to ashes, and that he’s helping fix the problem even though it’s not his responsibility.

The Iranian Army says it has taken delivery of 1,000 new drones equipped with stealth capabilities and designed to target enemy fortifications.
The Ababil-4 and Ababil-5 drones, which were designed by the Iranian defence ministry, were delivered to various locations throughout Iran, according to the semi-official Tasnim news agency.
Tasnim said the weapons were formally handed over to the armed forces on Jan. 13, at a ceremony attended by Iranian Army Commander Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi and Defence Minister Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh.

Veteran opinion columnist Jennifer Rubin is becoming the latest in a long list of Washington Post figures to leave the troubled institution.
Rubin is partnering with former White House ethics czar Norm Eisen and launching something new: a startup publication called The Contrarian.“Our goal is to combat, with every fiber of our being, the authoritarian threat that we face,” Rubin told CNN in an interview ahead of the publication’s introduction.
Rather than anti-Trump, the founders describe their venture as pro-democracy. They said they have already enlisted about two dozen contributors, including people who played prominent roles in debunking 2020 election denialism and investigating the January 6, 2021, attack at the US Capitol.

Three doctors are asking the U.S. Supreme Court to prevent a California agency from investigating them over their opposition to state-approved COVID-19 policies.
The California Medical Board considers the expression of the doctors’ dissenting views on the disease as potentially dangerous misinformation that should be suppressed. The board argues it has legal authority to discipline the doctors for speech it deems to be medical misconduct. The physicians counter that just because they have medical licenses doesn’t mean they forfeit their free speech rights under the First Amendment.

Not a single Capitol police officer was killed on January 6, 2021, yet Attorney General Merrick Garland’s dishonest statement about the protest released Monday may have people thinking otherwise.
“On this day, four years ago, police officers were brutally assaulted while bravely defending the United States Capitol(snip “Today, I am thinking of the officers who still bear the scars of that day as well as the loved ones of the five officers who lost their lives in the line of duty(snip)
But not a single officer was killed by any January 6 defendants — which is perhaps why not a single defendant was charged with manslaughter or murder.
