All living former first ladies attended former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral on Thursday, except Michelle Obama. Former first lady Michelle Obama did not attend because she reportedly had “scheduling conflicts,” journalist Jeff Zeleny told CNN. “She’s still in Hawaii,” Zeleny said, underscoring the lack of an open seat next to her husband. “Mrs. Obama sends her thoughts and prayers to the Carter family, and everyone who loved and learned from the remarkable former President,” her spokesperson told reporters. Because of Michelle Obama’s absence, former President Barack Obama sat in between President-elect Trump and former first lady Laura Bush.

Just this afternoon, another big name in the wokest game on Earth decided they were cashing in their chips before public opinion - and an incoming Trump administration - cashed them in for them.
An Amazon email last month announced to employees that the company was scaling back and consolidating some of its DEI programs - trimming around the edges on some of those 'initiatives' - although which ones were on the chopping block were spelled out.

A Canadian “Super Scooper” aircraft fighting the Palisades fire in Los Angeles had to be grounded Thursday after it hit a civilian drone in the smoke-filled skies above the blaze, local fire department officials said.
CNN reports the specifically designed CL-415 firefighting planes are used to scoop up more than 1,500 gallons of ocean water to drop on active fires. Two have been leased by L.A. County to help current operations.
