In this episode of "Yawn, So What's New?"...
In a predictable leftist move, "Ben & Jerry's" ice cream is hawking a "direct action" ... "against fascism" in opposition to President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration on January 20. Yeah. And yawn. As reported by the Post Millennial on Thursday, the notoriously radical left-wing company is working to organize participation in a "People's March" on January 18 in Washington, D.C., along with other locations across the fruited plain. The company's latest newsletter encouraged its customers to protest and "dissent" against Trump's soon-to-be presidency.
Post Millennial Senior Editor Andy Ngo posted a reminder on X (formerly Twitter) of just who these two radical characters —

Outrage is boiling over after revelations that the Santa Ynez Reservoir, a critical water source in Pacific Palisades, was empty and offline when a devastating wildfire ripped through the area.
The Los Angeles Times reported that despite the reservoir’s critical role in the city’s water infrastructure, it had been offline for nearly a year.
The Santa Ynez Reservoir, with a capacity of 117 million gallons, could have played a critical role in providing water pressure to firefighters battling the devastating fire that destroyed thousands of homes and buildings in Los Angeles, Santa Monica, and Malibu.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who will now be forever known as the weirdo who ran with Kamala Harris in 2024 and failed, is now endorsing gun control activist David Hogg in his bid to be vice chair of the Democratic National Committee.
The 2024 election showed that Democrats have a serious problem with men, who are fleeing their party in droves.
It’s not clear how having David Hogg in a leadership position would do anything to help fix this problem for them.
None of that seems to matter to Walz, who believes Hogg will provide the ‘courageous leadership our party needs right now.’

As I flew above the terrain I called home for 20 years, tears streamed down my face. (snip) I left Los Angeles a little over a year ago,(snip) blame for the tragedy currently destroying the lives of thousands of people lies at the feet of one person only — Gov. Gavin Newsom.
This man has single-handedly destroyed the state with his Green New Deal policies and emphasis on “environmental, social, and governance” (ESG), diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and any other acronym initiative you can think of. He has wasted billions of taxpayer dollars (snip)instead of doing what he should have to ensure this fire didn’t inflict the

New York Judge Juan Merchan ruled Friday that President-elect Donald Trump will not face any punishment after being convicted of 34 felonies related to a hush-money payment to porn actress Stormy Daniels.
Merchan gave Trump an unconditional discharge, meaning he declined to sentence Trump to jail time or probation in light of the president-elect’s imminent return to the White House. The sentencing puts an end to an unprecedented case that Trump and his allies have cast as political persecution.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom sent a letter to President-elect Donald Trump on Friday, inviting him to come see the effects of the wildfires in Los Angeles for himself.
In the letter, Newsom invites Trump to come see the damage, meet with first responders and displaced victims and thank firefighters and emergency personnel for their work.
"In the spirit of this great country, we must not politicize human tragedy or spread disinformation from the sidelines," Newsom wrote. "Hundreds of thousands of Americans — displaced from their homes and fearful for the future — deserve to see all of us working in their best interests to ensure a fast recovery and rebuild."

Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom requested Friday that President Joe Biden “deal with” people who are allegedly spreading “misinformation” about his response to the wildfires raging across Los Angeles. Newsom alleged that Californians have gathered so-called “misinformation” about the wildfires and that himself and Democratic Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass have had atypical conversations with the public regarding the so-called false information. He asked the president during a virtual meeting to confront the alleged misinformation and “lies” spewed by those who want to “divide” the U.S.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass demanded her Fire Department make an extra $49million of budget cuts last week, a leaked memo revealed.
This cut is already on top of $17.6million of cuts in her latest budget.
The extra cuts, requested just days before fires broke out and devastated swathes of Los Angeles, would have shut down 16 fire stations and crippled the department's ability to respond to emergencies, sources said. [SNIP] The memo is dated January 6, only a day before the devastating Palisades Fire started.

In this episode of "Try to Control Your Shock and Amazement"...
Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi has long been criticized for her seemingly uncanny ability to grow her investment portfolio at dizzyingly high rates of return. Pelosi and her husband Paul Pelosi have a combined net worth of nearly $250 million. In 2024, they managed to beat the S&P 500 stock index by 200 percent. According to financial data platform Unusual Whales’ 2024 Congress Trading Report, the Pelosi portfolio grew 70.9 percent between December 29, 2023, and December 30, 2024, beating the S&P 500 stock index by nearly 200 percent in 2024 and continuing their year-over-year streak of outperforming the index.

Breakfast of failures? California gastroenterologist Dr. Saurabh Sethi has taken to TikTok to call out the five unhealthiest breakfast foods. We’ve long been told that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, a metabolic boost that provides the cornerstone of nutrition. Yet according to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, a quarter of us skip our morning meal, and it seems even those who do make the time to rise and dine do not always make healthy choices.

If only Dandy Don Meredith were alive to sing the chorus...
I'm sure within the ego of California Governor Gavin Newsom, as vast as the acreage of the L.A. basin that's burned, he thinks he's handling this crisis just fine, and that no one will remember this unpleasantness witnessed over the last week. I'm sure he believes his presidential ambitions, unlike so many historic homes, restaurants, museums, and other buildings, still stand.
It's over. Yesterday, there was one exchange Newsom had with a mom overcome with grief. She had lost her home. Her daughter lost her school. She lost everything and was apoplectic, as most Angelinos are, at the horrific response

The last hope for a small glimmer of sanity in the years-long saga of the lawfare warriors against President Trump has been extinguished by a 5-4 vote of the United States Supreme Court in the following order, handed down late on the evening before the day the Democrats will have their most fervent wish granted: that President Trump will start his second term as president of the United States as a “convicted felon”:
(ORDER LIST: 604 U.S.)
THURSDAY, JANUARY 9, 2025
ORDER IN PENDING CASE
