The brother of the terrorist who launched the deadly car attack on Bourbon Street in New Orleans says that “radicalization” is to blame for his kin’s rampage.
Abdur Jabbar, 24, of Beaumont, Texas, told The New York Times that his brother Shamsud-Din Jabbar — who killed at least 15 people in the New Year’s Day attack — converted to Islam at an early age. (Photos)
The younger Jabbar told the newspaper that what his brother “did does not represent Islam. This is more some type of radicalization, not religion.”

Uh huh right. So if he was a radicalized Christian or Jew or Buddhist or Taoist or anything else he still would've murdered all those innocent strangers.
Sure, cool story, bro.

In Islam is it unacceptable for a woman to divorce her husband.
Men can divorce wives by merely saying, "I divorce you," three times, tho.
This man's Islamic prejudice led him to try to get his whole ex-family together to murder them, but he failed.
This was his next best move.
Totally on Islam.

Nice try, Abdur, but apparently you don't understand the essence of Islam.

This brother clearly has not read his 'scriptures' - the dead one most certainly has. Those who identify as Muslim are in some ways no different than other faith believers - some practice what is written but many don't. The koran is pretty explicit about killing infidels and the eternal rewards for those who do.

The African American was flying an ISIS-al-Quaeda flag. Maybe the CIA should not have created al-Quaeda.

'Radical' is derived from Latin, meaning 'root' or 'core'. If Shamsud-Din Jabbar was 'radicalized' by Islam, then he was not only following letter, but also the core spirit and intent of Islam. This is nothing new about this 7th century cult founded by a charismatic Arab. It has been violent to its core from the beginning. Jabbar used Islam for a justification for his personal rage; a failed marriage, a failed business; frustration at life. Make himself a 'martyr' and it makes it all right.

Right, because we all know that islam is a religion of peace. Like the peace practised by Hamas. Or Hez b'allah. Or those Houthis in Yemen. Or the knifers and truck driving islamic killers in Germany and France. And those rapists in Rotherham. It's all so very peaceful, don't you see, 'cause mohammad never told his followers to kill Jews and Christians.

This guy may have lived in North Houston, close to TC Jester & Spears Rd. That is not too far from an Islamic Center on FM1960, located just across from runways of IAH (Bush Intercontinental). Now, an Islamic school has taken over the campus of a former Catholic school located also in North Houston at Gosling Rd and FM2920. It would be interesting to get some accurate information on where exactly this guy was radicalized. Every time I drive past that Islamic Center on FM1960, it gives me the creeps when I see how close the place is to the runway, with a clear view. I can't believe that Homeland Security would allow this after 9/11.

As I’ve posted many times on this site…
A radical Muslim will cut off your head. A moderate Muslim will hold you down while he does it.

When you glorify suicide in furtherance of your religious "goals", it's tough to deny that it's the religion that is the problem.
And let's not foget that it's acceptable to lie to a non-believer also to further the religion's aims, so 'bro, your denials are just a waste of time and of your breath to say them. Spare us any more of your lies.

Sorry, it's ALWAYS about religion..Islam is a mental disease...if you are muslim and follow the Koran, well, take it for what it's worth...
If you aren't muslim, you are kaffir, worthless to a muslim....
