Trump’s first term faced significant challenges from a lack of loyalty and discipline within his ranks. Some of his appointees seemed more focused on securing lucrative book deals filled with sensational claims, while others leaked information at every opportunity. Additionally, some personnel choices were puzzling and likely hindered his ability to govern as effectively as possible. However, it seems the new Trump transition is already taking steps to address these past missteps, setting a more disciplined tone, which is likely going to mean a far more effective and efficient administration this time around. And that’s thanks to Susie Wiles, Trump’s incoming White House chief of staff.

Trump had no idea just how corrupt the Government and those who recommended people his first cabinet were. He learned a lot the first term.

Alternate headline: Palestinian Authority Official Bucks History in Sensing Wind Direction. The PA has long suffered from leadership that obstinately refuses to recognize reality, all the way back to its PLO roots. Has that begun to change with Benjamin Netanyahu's reshaping of the region and Donald Trump's return to the White House? Fatah general secretary Mohammad Hamdan may have vested interests in talking down Hamas, but it doesn't mean he's not right. Hamdan tells the New York Post that he expects Trump to crush Hamas, but not directly. Trump will take down Iran, which will put a stake through the heart of Fatah's bitter enemy.

Puerto Rico suffered the latest in a string of widespread power outages Tuesday that has left 1.3 million customers, some 80% of the entire island, in the dark. More than 1 million energy customers were without power across the U.S. territory since 5:30 a.m. due to an infrastructure problem at a power plant on the island's southern coast, energy company LUMA said in an update on X. LUMA said in a statement that the fault appeared to be an underground cable and that it was working with partners to restart the island's power network. "LUMA will be restoring power to customers in phases. We’ve already begun the process of reenergizing some customers

As what’s left of the Biden administration winds down, I’d like to offer an end-of-days reminder: Joe Biden wasn’t just a terrible president. His Attorney General Merrick Garland was an equally terrible leader of the Department of Justice. Garland, you may recall, was nominated for the Supreme Court by President Barack Obama to replace Justice Antonin Scalia, who died suddenly a few months before the 2016 election. Republicans sat on Garland’s nomination, maintaining that the seat should be filled by a new president. We were told that this was hideously unfair and partisan, especially because, as the Obama administration

Trump’s public endorsement could be key to a win by Johnson, who can only afford a handful of GOP defections and be elected Speaker. The 2024 election marked a significant shift in political dynamics. Democrats, who have long had an advantage on social issues, continued to double down on the most radical of positions, ceding the advantage to Republicans and allowing them to go on the offensive rather than being defensive. For example, the Trump campaign managed to successively use Kamala’s radical positions on gender against her, telling voters, "Kamala is for they/them, President Trump is for you." It’s no secret that Democrats now have to reassess their agenda if they want to win back mainstream voters, particularly working-class Americans. These voters, who make up the majority of the electorate, have increasingly become alienated

If an election were held today, the governing left-wing Labour Party would lose its majority and nearly 200 seats in parliament in large part due to Nigel Farage’s Reform UK, an analysis has found. Despite sweeping to a landslide victory less than six months ago, analysis conducted by the More in Common think tank has found that support for Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s Labour Party has dwindled to such an extent that it would lose at least 183 seats in the House of Commons and therefore lose its majority in the parliament. The so-called “mega-poll” conducted on behalf of London’s Sunday Times

The heated debate over H-1B visa workers obscures the far greater inflows of other foreign workers into the white-collar jobs needed by American college graduates. The federal government issues about 130,000 new H-1B visas each year — plus another 650,000 visas or work permits to other white-collar migrants each year. Many of these non-immigrant workers are allowed to stay for five, six, or seven years. The multi-year visas create a resident population of at least 1.5 million white-collar workers. That growing population is almost twenty times larger than the H-1B program’s inflow of 85,000 new foreign workers every year that the media is focusing on.

oe Biden took a cheap shot at President-elect Trump in his remarks Sunday evening in St. Croix on the death of former President Jimmy Carter. (Photo) When asked by a reporter what Trump could take from Carter, Biden flashed a Carter-esque toothy smile while saying “decency” three times and then went on a brief diatribe comparing Carter to Trump. The reporter squeezed the question in as White House press wranglers were trying to shut down Biden and the assembled reporters and end the press availability. The reporter’s question was partially lost in cross talk, “Is there (anything?) President Trump could take from President Carter?” Biden answered:

Democrats are boasting that Jimmy Carter's death could overshadow Donald Trump's upcoming inauguration due to a long upheld tradition. Standard protocol states that all flags should be flown at half mast at federal buildings for 30 days following the death of a former president. Carter, the 39th U.S. President, died at 100 years old on Sunday afternoon, almost two years after entering hospice care and just 22 days before Trump's inauguration on January 20. Outspoken MAGA critics and Democrat voters have quipped that the half mast flags during such a pivotal moment are Carter's parting gift to Trump after their longstanding feud.

Climate alarmists like President Joe Biden assure us that all we need do to avert the destruction of hurricanes—or at least to lessen it—is to sacrifice offerings to the climate gods by giving up our gas-guzzling internal combustion engines and paying indulgences to Al Gore or something. You see, humans as a species have sinned, and we must sacrifice our prosperity to prevent the end of the world. Unfortunately for the alarmists, the world stubbornly refuses to end, and even the supposed evidence they trot out as proof of impending doom doesn’t exactly mean what they think it means.
