My law firm was one of those that defended tobacco companies against, among other things, lawsuits brought by state attorneys general. A key claim in those cases was that the tobacco companies conspired to prevent the public from learning that smoking is bad for you. “If so,” said the partner in my firm who was in charge of the case for our client, “it was the least successful conspiracy in the history of the world.”
I recall that comment in the context of recent “revelations” about the conspiracy on the part of the White House, the Democratic Party and the press to conceal the fact that Joe Biden is senile.
The big story this week is the how X (formerly Twitter) worked to dramatically change the American legislative process. The Wall Street Journal has an article delving into the efforts to cover up Biden’s mental state. But the article raises as many questions as it answers. I won’t dwell on the umpteenth revelations that Biden had bad days, that he had trouble remembering lines or figuring out where he was supposed to go.

Hur, the special counsel who investigated Biden’s handling of classified documents, the president couldn’t recall lines that his team discussed with him. Former Cook County Prosecutor Kim Foxx is no longer authorized to practice law in Illinois after she failed to keep her license current.
According to the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission (ARCD), Foxx is "unauthorized to practice law as [the] attorney has not demonstrated required MCLE [Minimum Continuing Legal Education] compliance."
Her license to practice law was suspended on Dec. 1. The liberal prosecutor told WGN-TV that the suspension was a "clerical error," saying that she had "more than enough credits."
The date of the suspension came after Foxx's successor, Eileen O'Neill Burke, began her role as Cook County's top cop.

A so-called TikTok ‘prankster’ known for wreaking havoc on the public for social media views, was arrested for spraying poison all over food in a Mesa, Arizona, Walmart.
The suspect, 27-year-old Charles Smith, was stupid enough to video his face while committing the crime. He then uploaded the video of himself committing the felony to social media.
According to court documents, Smith went back inside Walmart 10 minutes after he committed the crime and “attempted to collect the items he sprayed.”
Smith wheeled some of the poisoned items to the back of Walmart.
