WNBA owner claims Time pick of Caitlin
Clark as ‘Athlete of the Year’ could
invite racism

Time magazine has seriously rattled cages with its annual selection of honors for 2024, and one WNBA owner isn’t down with the pick of superstar rookie Caitlin Clark as the publication’s “Athlete of the Year,” whining that it could lead to racism. On Friday, Washington Mystics owner Sheila Johnson went on CNN to protest Clark’s recognition as the face of a league filled with surly black lesbians that few cared about until the college wunderkind arrived on the scene, drawing national attention to the WNBA and packing venues when her Indiana Fever was the visiting team.

Comments:

Just pathetic!! She is filling stadiums and the racists are STILL whining when she gets recognized for her talent!!!

I'm casually (as I really could not care less about basketball in general and the WNBA in particular) waiting for the WNBA pay to become enough to attract ex-3rd-rate male college basketball players to show up and insist that they have transitioned and demand to be considered 'female' and demand positions on the WNBA teams. Let's see how 'inclusive' the L's of the LGBTQ crowd will be when that happens! Oh, and grab some Popcorn! There's gonna be some Squallin' for sure!

Are the women in the WNBA trying to turn off the potential audience of the WNBA with their continued stupid woke comments about Caitlyn Clark, racism, and how unfair it is that she gets media attention. If other players had the audience draw and skill that Clark has, they might garner the same attention. They don't. They are all viewd as angry black lesbians jealous of Clark. Their reactions are reinforcing this.

I never watched WNBA, for that matter I never watched NBA, but I have been watching since Caitlin appeared. She has been attacked by the racist lesbians over and over and she has shown courage as well as expertise. To get on the floor without support from the referee's and to face these attack takes courage. I have read stories of her going to Europe to play and yet I see them still using her as a player hee in America. Does she still play for the Fever or not?

I am reminded- once again, of a quote, many years ago, by a very wise man: "There is another class of coloured people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs." Booker T. Washington

#17: The NBA supports the WNBA, which has been losing money every year it started in 1996. I can't understand why the players of color in the WNBA can't appreciate and embrace Caitlin, regardless of her skin color. Caitlin herself came out with the "white privilege" statement the other day to (hopefully) reduce the amount of hard non-called fouls she has to put up with each game. BTW, I can't count how many hours I've spent riding in a C-141, or the hours waiting for a broken jet to get fixed! I'm guessing you have many, many more hours at that than I do.

We’ve been told for four years that inflation will soon stabilize and disappear thanks to Joe Biden’s awesome stewardship of the economy, and yet… “Wholesale prices for chicken eggs soared by nearly 55% last month, and wholesale food prices rose by 3.1% (their highest monthly increase in two years),” reports far-left CNN. Ahh, and because a Democrat is in office, we are then immediately told… Economists say not to panic. The “egg-flation” and sudden price hikes in some major food categories are reflections of isolated incidents rather than something systemic and indicative of a reacceleration of inflation. Economists always tell us not to worry when a Democrat is president.

California and Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) are planning to repeal the 2023 call for a national constitutional convention, given Donald Trump’s recent victory and the possibility of Republicans proposing their own new amendments. As Breitbart News reported last June, Newsom called for a constitutional convention to propose amendments to limit the Second Amendment, such as setting a minimum age of 21 for gun possession, and universal background checks. But there were political obstacles, as Breitbart News noted: [S]ince a two-thirds vote of Congress is generally required to launch the process of amending the Constitution, it is unclear how Newsom intends to begin if, as he says, Congress is responsible for inaction.

After Democrats ousted him as their presidential candidate in July, Biden, 82, who has been a public official since 1973 (51 years), is not enjoying the prospects of sunsetting his over half a century long career at the center of American politics, the NYT’s Peter Baker and Zolan Kanno-Youngs reported. Biden reportedly told allies after he dropped out of the race that he was bored, moody, and angry. He’s apparently angry because many Democrats opposed his pardon of his son.

His trial is currently set to begin in February, though Routh has requested a continuance of the matter, and we await Judge Aileen Cannon's ruling on that request. That the matter — involving the attempted assassination of a former and future president — is being handled via the federal system makes sense.
