Sen. John Kennedy’s exchange with Retired Army Maj. Gen. Randy Manner during a recent Senate hearing was nothing short of epic. Kennedy, a master of political discourse, delivered a blistering takedown of Manner’s past comments on President Trump and his supporters during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Tuesday. Manner was testifying about the incoming administration’s plans for mass deportations of criminal illegal aliens.Manner began his opening statement by highlighting his 35 years of service in the military, including roles such as Deputy Commanding General of the United States Third Army in Kuwait and Acting Vice Chief of the National Guard Bureau.

Manner reminds me of something,
"I am the very model of a modern Major-General
I've information vegetable, animal, and mineral
I know the kings of England, and I quote the fights historical
From Marathon to Waterloo, in order categorical
I'm very well acquainted, too, with matters mathematical
I understand equations, both the simple and quadratical
About binomial theorem I am teeming with a lot o' news
With many cheerful facts about the square of the hypotenuse."

He is insulted by the Senator's comments.
He is deserving of the insults.
Where is the honor and respect when calling a former President a fascist, and in praising a General who reports to the Chinese and refused a direct order from the Commander in Chief.
America is a safer place with this General gone from his previous office.
How many more of the Obama Generals do we have to replace in order to rebuild our military.?

Click-bait headline. I watched the video and while Kennedy was his usual delightful self, the general was non-plussed and refused to get into an open debate. Humiliation or shame require some recognition of guilt - and this general at least during this hearing refused to admit fault.

Does anyone still believe that military flag or general officers are not political animals? In fact a lot of military oriented folks believe that every officer holding the rank of Army or Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel or Navy Commander (O-5) these days must show that they are political animals to be promoted into higher level ranks. That has been supercharged during the Biden-Harris era where displays of DEI related so-called “woke” attitudes have apparently become leading factors in military promotion processes.

With leaders like this General served during the great Indian Wars, the Sioux would still hold all of their lands West of the Mississippi!

This General has forgotten that he is not the CIC, nor the representative of everyone else in this country. He is what pompous means.

The general may not have admitted fault or acted humiliated, but any fair person sees him for the rabid anti-Trumper that he is. I doubt the Dems will call him to testify any more since he can't appear as a reasonable person when it comes to anything the Trump administration does.
