Several DC food workers wallowing in Kamala Harris’s landslide defeat promise to make Trump administration officials pay should they decide to visit their establishments, even at the cost of their livelihoods.
The Washingtonian on Thursday spoke to industry veterans, bartenders, and servers in our nation’s capital who have made crystal clear that they are willing to sacrifice dollars in an attempt to ‘own’ those trying to make America great again.
Nancy, a bartender for a fine dining establishment, said she would not only refuse to welcome certain Trump officials but also make those she decides to serve miserable.
“There is power in making it known that you’re not comfortable with a situation,

Ah, the party of diversity and inclusion. What a fine bunch they are, huh?
If President Trump succeeds in transferring many (remaining) governmental agencies/departments to other cities around the country, I wonder how gung-ho these wonderful people will be in not serving those they oppose?

It is now considered au courant among far leftist loons to justify assassinating people, so this should come as no surprise.

Good! Make way for the new restaurants which fulfill their purpose: serving food to customers!

Section 2-1402.31(a) of the DC Human Rights Act prohibits discrimination in public accommodations (including restaurants) and employment based on, among other traits, political affiliation.
Violation results in civil liability, attorney fees, civil penalty of up to $50,000.
Go for it, leftists.

They will like being at the rear of the unemployment line. One does not go where they aren't welcome. Those restaurants will lose business. Maybe even close. Because of some 'political activists'. Get in their faces, right? Obama said that. They can thank Obama when out of work.

Brown bag your lunch or grab a microwave meal. Give up drinking and tipping. Have a group pitch-in. There are ways around this situation for you. When their incoming cash disappears they can't do much to make up for it. No need to deal with progressive insane individuals.

If DOGE kicks in as hoped, I wonder how many posh DC eateries will survive without enough high salaried bureaucrats and lobbyists around to keep them in business?

Great, they will be like the legacy media where the doors are slamming shut and the closed sign is about to be put out. CNN just got outrated by the Food Network. Will the restaurants these people work in be bested by McDonalds?
The arrogance of these people is amazing but not surprising. That is why they are also going through anxiety attacks, because they think they are sooooo special. If Trump eliminates 20% of the Washington workforce, what restaurants do you think will be closing? Of course when their jobs are gone they will feel SO put upon and blame Trump and continue to feel absolutely justified in their actions. TDS is strong with these people.

FTA: “It’s not, ‘Oh, we hate Republicans.’ It’s that this person has moral convictions that are strongly opposed to mine, and I don’t feel comfortable serving them,” Van Rooy continued.
Will be interesting to see whether the owner agrees with her plan.
Wouldn’t be a surprise to learn that she was a vocal defender of a couple who tried to force their “morals” on a certain bakery owner instead of simply going to another bakery for their same sex wedding cake.

Demons always out themselves. Always. I think it’s the law of demonic possession. Take these self-righteous, virtue-signalers at their word and stay away from where they work. If they don’t outwardly commit violence against republicans, you can be sure they are spitting in the food…or worse.

No problem. This is a great opportunity for a few MAGA restauranteurs to open new restaurants that cater specifically to the MAGA crowd. Their lines will be out the door and around the block every day, while the DC Demon-Rat sewer restaurants will quietly go out of business!!!!!
That works for me!!!

Go for it, idiots. And your competing restaurants who welcome the new people and treat them well, will prosper. And you hateful, obnoxious, stupid jerks will be unemployed.
This is the lesson of the free markets, you jerks. Good service prospers, bad service is unemployed.

Staying away from liberal establishments that serve food should be an absolute must for MAGA supporters for reasons of personal safety. Several years ago a coworker related a story about her father who worked in a New York City restaurant for many years telling the family that some of the wait staff would expectorate into the coffee of customers who were poor tippers. Without being able to know what is going on in the kitchen or at the hands of wait staff when out of sight is always a risk but most especially when in a hostile environment be it elitist, political, racial, religious, whatever.

A couple of my poker club members are quite liberal. We don't talk politics at all by mutual agreement. We all understand that we aren't going to change either side's position. I like them both. I don't understand their side and I am sure they don't understand mine but we all respect and like each other.
I do think, that, while neither side is immune to violence, the left seems much more liable to use it and try to cancel jobs and businesses who don't believe their "correct views". You only have to look at the two assassination attempts on Trump, the destruction of businesses during the BLM riots, the tearing down of statues they don't like, the shooting and almost killing of Steve Scalise, violent antisemitism etc etc. Now we have the killing of an insurance company CEO by an anti-capitalist and we can look forward to (not peaceful) demonstrations) on inauguration day.

All of these holier than thou server never know the politics of most of their patrons. Why single out Trump staff? They would probably run away in horror if they knew the political beliefs of many of those that they served.

If my memory serves me, the Lexington, VA 'Red Hen' restaurant that kicked out Sara Sanders during Trump's first term went out of business at the end of that year. Sounds like a self-correcting situation to me. I would suggest that these leftist 'food servers' learn to code..... but I doubt that they're smart enough to learn how to do that.

OK, but this works both ways. Conservatives should send staffers into such establishments wearing MAGA gear and if they are refused service, they can sue the owners. Repeat as needed (a certain bakery in Colorado comes to mind). The establishments will either abandon their prejudices or go out of business, opening the way for more tolerant restaurants. I suspect that most of the chest thumping is coming from the folks who don't own the restaurants and are hourly employees, so I see a quick end to this nonsense.
