The Department of Defense has deepened the mystery over the drones over New Jersey — and poured cold water on a claim that they came from Iran. Defense officials do not believe the unidentified flying objects are coming from “a foreign entity or adversary,” deputy Pentagon press secretary Sabrina Singh told reporters Wednesday. “There is no Iranian ship off the coast of the United States, and there’s no so-called mothership launching drones towards the United States.” (Photos) Singh was responding to explosive claims made by Republican New Jersey Rep. The Associated Press reported on Thursday that Biden has decided to commute the sentences of about 1500 convicts who were released from prison during the COVID-19 pandemic and placed on home confinement. In addition, Biden also announced he was pardoning 39 people convicted of “non-violent” crimes.
This marks the largest single-day act of clemency in modern American history. Barack Obama previously held the record at 330 right before leaving office in 2017.

The good news first: As RedState has been reporting, Christopher Wray is on his way out as director of the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI).
