Pelosi Flaunts Disobedience To Her Archbishop

Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) flaunted her disobedience to her bishop in an interview on her Catholicism, saying that she always feels “there’s an angel” on her shoulder despite her vehement support for abortion. [Snip] Pelosi...said that she ignored the mandate of her bishop,...to stop receiving communion over her pro-abortion advocacy. [Snip] “I received Communion anyway,”..., adding of Cordileone. “That’s his problem, not mine.” “My Catholic faith is, Christ is my savior,” she added. “It has nothing to do with the bishops.” Later in the interview, she told the publication, “My faith is always with me....”

Comments:

God gave Moses the Ten Commandments that included, “Thou shalt not murder” [Exodus 19-20]. God told Ezekiel if he did not warn wicked people to turn from their ways, they will die for their sin... [Ezekiel 33:9]. The Apostle Paul warned that anyone eating the body and drinking the blood of the Lord unworthily brings judgment on himself [1 Corinthians 11:20-24]. The Apostle James warned that “teachers” would be judged with a stricter standard and a harsher punishment [James 3:1]. In being dismissive of her bishop, Nancy Pelosi may be dismissive of the teachings of God’s Holy Word throughout Scripture.

Her persistent advocacy for abortion access and her work to coerce pregnancy clinics to perform abortions amount to "material contribution" to completed abortions. By that work, she has excommunicated herself - no need for ecclesiastical action.

Pelosi, like Biden, is the classic case of choosing money and power over obeying God. If she did not support abortion, she would never have been Speaker of the House. Insider trading is immoral, but she wants the wealth it brings. She has spent her entire spiritual life believing she can do as she sees fit, regardless of what her church teaches. Now she has doubled down and refuses to repent. Pray for her.

In Trump’s first term, Jews were declared to be a minority group protected by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. And now, just weeks away from beginning his second term, Trump has laid down the law, in a speech he just gave at a rally against antisemitism in Washington. American universities that fail to combat antisemitism on their campuses should expect severe repercussions, including the loss of accreditation and of federal research contracts. [Snip] He did not say they “may lose” accreditation. Trump said they will lose accreditation, and their share of the billions of dollars in federal support that universities receive.

President Joe Biden didn’t pardon Hunter because he’s a loving father who thinks his drug addict son was treated unfairly by the Justice Department. He pardoned Hunter to help cover up his own crimes, just as he’ll likely pardon other members of his family... He’s trying to protect himself, and this is one of the only ways he has left to do it. [Snip] In the end, the president might keep his son and other family members out of jail with last-minute pardons, but once the truth comes out,...,Biden will likely go down in history as one of the most corrupt presidents in American history.

Three weeks after the election and the fallout from it, we are starting to appreciate the clarity of the vote. It explains much of the present, the past, and the future. Consider the following: 1. Even Donald Trump’s enemies are beginning, albeit sheepishly and begrudgingly, to concede he proved indestructible in a way they never imagined. [Snip] ...there is increased anxiety about the safety of Donald Trump. The post-election Left is so unhinged, so crazy and the Secret Service is so suspect in its incompetence, that the nation is rightly worried about Trump’s security, who is increasingly seen as the last great hope to stop the madness.

Schools open, networks are created, charters are authorized, and kids fill the seats. [Snip] The reason for the loss cannot be ignored; the departure is an indictment of leftist theories of learning. Classical schools treasure precisely what leftist principles reject: old books and Great Books, Western Civilization, memorization, religion, dead languages, high art.
