Daniel Penny has been found not guilty of criminally negligent homicide in the chokehold death of Jordan Neely on a New York City subway car in 2023.
Penny, 26, pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide.
The judge dismissed the second-degree manslaughter charge against Penny on Friday after jurors said they could not come to a unanimous decision. The jury could only consider the negligent homicide charge if Penny was cleared of manslaughter, which is what the dismissal did.

The Daniel Penny verdict has been met with threats by at least one high-profile activist hoping he would be convicted of killing Jordan Neely, who was threatening people on a New York City subway train last year.
After Penny was found not guilty of the criminally negligent homicide of Neely, the founder of Black Lives Matter (BLM) of Greater New York, Hawk Newsome, called on black people to attack white people in the city.
“We need some black vigilantes,” Newsome said during a press conference. “People wanna jump up and choke us and kill us for being loud? How about we do the same when they

Exposure to lead in gasoline during childhood resulted in many millions of excess cases of psychiatric disorders over the last 75 years, a new study estimates.
Lead was banned from automobile fuel in 1996. The study, published Wednesday in the Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry, looked at its lasting impact in the U.S. by analyzing childhood blood lead levels from 1940 to 2015. According to the findings, the national population experienced an estimated 151 million excess mental health disorders attributable to exposure to lead from car exhaust during children’s early development.

Liz Cheney threatened Donald Trump's incoming Department of Justice on Monday, claiming that any move to investigate the now-defunct January 6th committee would be "sanctionable conduct." The statement, put out in response to Trump's recent "Meet the Press" interview, also denied allegations that she and her colleagues destroyed evidence.[Snip] “Here is the truth: Donald Trump attempted to overturn the 2020 presidential election and seize power,” she said in a statement. “He mobilized an angry mob and sent them to the United States Capitol, where they attacked police officers, invaded the building and halted the official counting of electoral votes.

Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) displaced blame on Saturday for the nation’s managed decline under his long tenure in the Senate. Many economic nationalists believe McConnell, the longest-serving Senate party leader in American history, has managed the nation’s decline while elites profited. McConnell apparently disagrees. He suggested at the annual Reagan National Defense Forum that MAGA is responsible for the managed decline, even though the movement is only eight years old. McConnell has been in power since 1985.

“Today on Pansexual and Panromantic Pride Day, everyone deserves to feel seen, respected and supported—no matter who they love. Create a world where everyone feels proud to be themselves!” the HHS post reads.
The post was met with many comments slamming the Biden administration’s priorities and looking forward to the coming Trump administration in January. (X) “At this point, I’m just confused. I have no idea what they even mean,” Elon Musk responded.

Incredibly, U.S. Capitol Police captain Michael Byrd, the cop who shot J6 protester Ashli Babbitt, appears to have been extorting the Democrats for favors, including a promotion. Even more incredibly, leading House Democrats have obliged him. Much of this bizarre saga Rep. Barry Lourdermilk (R-GA) has documented in a detailed letter to U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) chief Thomas Manger.
What is undeniable is that Byrd shot and killed an unarmed woman of a different race. Undeniable, too, is that no police officer in recent memory has received anything like the treatment proffered to Byrd for a comparable shooting. Indeed, only in the DIE-infested miasma

Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) took another critical step Monday towards voting to confirm Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense.
Ernst and Hegseth met Monday afternoon in person for at least the second time since President-elect Donald Trump nominated him.
“Following our encouraging conversations, Pete committed to completing a full audit of the Pentagon and selecting a senior official who will uphold the roles and value of our servicemen and women — based on quality and standards, not quotas — and who will prioritize and strengthen my work to prevent sexual assault within the ranks,” Ernst said

The suspected killer of UnitedHealthCare CEO Brian Thompson is the heir to a holiday resort fortune created by his grandparents - and the brother of a top doctor.
Luigi Mangione, 26, comes from a powerful Maryland family centered around the late patriarch Nicholas Mangiano, a first-generation American who built a real estate empire in the state that included country clubs and media.
Nicholas, who died in 2008 aged 83 after suffering a stroke, was the owner of Turf Valley Resort and Hayfields Country Club, as well as the radio station at the WCBM-AM. Nicholas was born in Baltimore's Little Italy to a poor family but worked his way up from nothing.

Law enforcement has arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, which occurred in New York City last Wednesday outside of a Manhattan hotel.

Carrying a fake New Jersey ID, Mangione was on a Greyhound bus before he walked into a McDonald’s in the morning, where he was recognized by an individual who alerted police. The man had in his possession

Lara Trump said she “would 100% consider” replacing Florida Sen. Marco Rubio — who her father-in-law, President-elect Donald Trump, has nominated as his secretary of state — as she announced she is resigning as co-chair of the Republican National Committee.
“It is something I would seriously consider,” Lara Trump, 42, told The Associated Press in an interview published Sunday. “If I’m being completely transparent, I don’t know exactly what that would look like. And I certainly want to get all of the information possible if that is something that’s real for me. But yeah, I would 100% consider it.”

Liz Cheney, a former member of the partisan January 6 Committee, said Monday that she should not go to jail for allegedly destroying 117 of the panel’s files.
President-elect Donald Trump accused members of the partisan panel on Sunday of destroying committee evidence that he said exonerated him from allegations of wrongdoing. The accusation came after Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA), who led the House Administration Committee’s oversight investigation, said in January his computer forensic investigators discovered that 117 files went missing, presumably deleted or encrypted by the panel’s members.
