Hunter Biden allegedly stiffed two Venice landlords for a total of more than $380,000 in rent, sources close to the property owners claim.
DailyMail.com revealed last year that Hunter owed Sweetgreen CEO and co-founder Jonathan Neman $80,000 in back rent after leaving his Venice rental property trashed, according to sources briefed on the dispute.
And now Shaun Maguire, a partner at San Francisco investment giant Sequoia, has come forward claiming Hunter also owes him at least $300,000 after failing to pay rent 'for over a year' in 2019 and 2020.

I don't think a president can pardon a person's state torts only federal criminal crimes.

I hope they 'clean his clock' using civil suits.
All the Bidens are scum. The crooked Sniffer, his crooked brother, his crack-head son.
Anyone who believed the Sniffer when he claimed 'up and down' that he would NOT pardon Huncher is a gullible fool who probably believes the filth spewed by the Lamestreams.
Wake up and Smell the Coffee, FOOLS!

Being pardoned from criminal offenses shouldn't affect his civil liabilities. That's violating the Landlords Civil Rights. I think Hunter must still pay.

There's probably a long trail of destruction in Huncher's wake. Anyone remember how he trashed a rental car and left personal belongings behind? I bet his hotel rooms needed to be scrubbed floor to ceiling after a visit.

Ba ha ha ha ha. Hunter is going to be bombarded with civil lawsuits for stiffing everyone. If the Bidens think they're off the hook, think again.

This was in CA, where you can legally defer paying rent for up to a year - but you still have to pay it. And, yes, failure to pay rent is not a felony so it doesn't fall under the pardon umbrella.

A state felony would not be affected by a federal pardon..

What happens to jim biden and Hunter's business partners?
Do they get pardons also?
OR
Do they reap the consequences of doing business with the bidens?

Because they are a state or local financial debt, they are still outstanding. JaBiden's pardon was for Federal Crimes not financial debts. Financial debts are outside the paradigm of Federal criminal actions. The Big Guy's Bagman still owes the rental bag. Good luck getting the Bagman to pay the debt.

Based upon Hunter Biden’s failure to pay his rent on the houses that he occupied, only a very dumb landlord would rent to Hunter Biden in the future. That’s just common sense!

Poor Sequoia VC fund founder - loses a few $100k - after creating a China VC fund to take good IT ideas that US would not allow China to export, and develop them for the China market. Now he cries to the US about being scammed w a well-connected coke head. Dude, you’re getting a teeny bit of your share being ‘spread around’. Sure you got tips from Hunter or family for the effort…

Biden can only pardon him from federal crimes...I don't think stiffing a landlord is a federal crime.

FTA: ''He changed the locks and had the secret service to enforce it. We had no access to the property.''
In other words, that lowlife had us, the taxpayers, help him pull off this crime. And WHY does this useless criminal even HAVE secret service? I want my money back.

Okay folks...who in their right mind would rent to this pig...I would have closed the property and sent hunter on his way....so what was so intriguing about renting to this loser....I don't feel sorry for these property owners...they knew what they were getting into by giving him the keys....and the wild parties and abusing children was all part of the game...hunter has been trashing Americans...old and young for years..and now he's off the hook....maybe George Clooney will pay the bills....

This is a State issue as everyone here has said, not a fed issue. What bothered me about this story, besides not paying the rent (deadbeat dad) is that Hunter trashed the rental property. Trashed it! What a lowlife! My mom taught me to clean up after myself and only low class people were trashy. This shows what kind of parents Joe and Jill were/are. Crude, rude, and trashy!

As others posted, Hunter has defaulted on a debt, it's not a federal matter. No debtors' prison anymore. The lessor can still seize Hunter's assets under state law. One would think after all that graft, he would be able to pay his debts. Maybe Shambling Joe can take some of his own ill gotten millions and take care of it.

If you're going to lease property to a Biden you should be prepared to be paid with a painting.
