He better watch out.
Footage of a heated confrontation between customers apparently taken inside a Costco emerged the day before Thanksgiving — sparking online debate about naughty shopper behavior as gift-buying season gets underway.
An aggravated man rammed a woman’s shopping cart with his own as he impatiently tried to push through a sea of shoppers in an aisle, according to a video a fellow customer posted on a Reddit Costco thread, which is not affiliated with the mega-chain store.
Staring down the logjam, the man, who had a small dog with him, talked about people needing to get out before he went cart-to-cart with the woman, according to the video.

A lot of people are simply unaware of their surroundings. When I need to get around a cart in the grocery store I ask (politely) of the shopper if she would move her cart. Without exception they apologize and move the cart.

I was at the grocery store a couple days ago. It was packed to the gills with moms and grandmas doing their final thanksgiving shopping. Lots of clogged aisles from people looking closer at products. Once someone realized they were holding up other shoppers, they always flashed a pretty smile and apologized. The delay was usually less than a minute and I got pretty smiles. It was worth the minor inconvenience.

I understand the aggravation. I have been known to accidentally clip a cart or two in Wally World when shoppers gather together for a bull session. "Oops, sorry, hope those eggs are okay."

There are a few things I really like at Costco. Note first of all, the store covers, I dunno, 10 acres? You want to get to where the stuff you want is and pick it up. It's like being on a freeway instead of a neighborhood street; you want speed. Then the store stacks stuff at the 'end caps' and in aisles constricting the aisles.
Then you have these (expletives) who put their carts in the middle of the aisles or side by side so they can gad about with an acquaintance.
I have never had road rage. But I have had serious cart-bad-humor.

cart etiquette is non existent here in Italy. Rudest people on the planet in a store. Not so much outside but there are places a crowd will just stop and chit chat in the middle of a crowded sidewalk oblivious to others. Ciao, jc

Yeah, shopping cart rage is becoming more and more common. A sign of moral decay.

Give it a rest, Nasty Nancys and Neds. Costco* patrons PAY MONEY to shop there (as do Sam's Club* people). Must we expect big box stores to weed out the AH's too?

I view any overcrowded store as a human madhouse and try to shop when they aren't so busy. If I must, I try not to use a cart. Much easier to get around people. The Lady Chihuahua, otoh, uses a store-provided electric cart to get around because of her COPD and need for oxygen. Nobody complains, but everyone realizes they have to be patient. When we shop together, which is most frequent, I follow her around with a push cart. I try to stay out of people's way.

People are completely unaware (the polite term for couldn't give a sheet) when they block rows in the parking lots, too. They hold up a row waiting for their preferred spot while cars behind them are stuck.
Same arrogant mentality.

I made the mistake of shopping at Costco on Saturday a few days before Thanksgiving, What a Madhouse.
From now on I'll be doing my shopping on weekdays...

This is a great subject!
I observe that slow shoppers get into a hypnotic trance from seeing all the goodies they have choose from. They are clueless about their immediate surroundings. Good thing I have the patience of Job

The footage was posted by Walmart! Kidding, of course! But Walmart/Sam’s Club is the main competitor. Things have gotten like this in many stores. Walmart and Costco are decent businesses. You love em or hate em. But some customers are just jerks.
I’d find out who the guy is and cancel his membership if I were Costco.

Costco and similar stores should provide small carts as well as the large ones. My nearest Costco has no small ones at all. I usually am buying only a few small items so I just get an empty box and carry it around the store picking up the items..
Yes, some shoppers are rude but very few. Families or couples who feel they must walk side-by-side cause a lot of the problem.

We have made it a point to NEVER shop on Black Friday. Too crazy, and we just won't subject ourselves to these nutcases.

After today we will be seeing the videos of herds of buffalo charging through the doors as stores open and fights over the sale items and the toy du jour. Best advice, avoid stores the week before and the week after holidays.

Hey Costco, why don't you have half size baskets... Not everyone wants to buy 15 of everything!
