President-elect Donald Trump announced on Thursday that his new pick for attorney general is Pam Bondi. The announcement came just hours after Matt Gaetz withdrew from consideration. "For too long, the partisan Department of Justice has been weaponized against me and other Republicans — Not anymore," Trump said in a post to Truth Social. "Pam will refocus the DOJ to its intended purpose of fighting Crime, and Making America Safe Again." Bondi previously served as Florida’s attorney general.

There always seems to be women who will claim a sexual affair or sexual assault whenever a Republican man is nominated for any office. Makes me wonder if the Dems have a file of women willing to do that. Now that Trump has nominated a woman for this office, the Dems will have to find a woman who will claim Bondi sexually assaulted her or a man willing to do the same. I'm not too broken up about Gaetz dropping out but it was a given that as soon as it was announced that he was up for any job in the Trump administration, some woman was going to make a claim.

Trump is the "Grand Master of Trolling." He threw Gaetz's name into the ring to draw out the ne'er-do-wells and crazies on both sides and then, once exposed, he cunningly releases Pam Bondi's name. She has been there, has the certificates, as well as the t-shirts, and is more than suited for the job of U.S. AG. PJDT = 1 RINO/DEMS = 0 (Personally, I think Matt Whitaker is much more worthy of the AG role than that of "Ambassador to NATO").

The fact that Bondi was named within a few hours is a clear indication that she was always the intended pick. Note to incoming cabinet officials: not every day, not every prosecution, not every initiative needs a press conference. Let's dispense with the notion that we are a government with a nation attached, not the other way round. And we all despise the press so stop giving them cheap fodder for their insipid TV programming. The more media you do, the less you are actually working. QED. Do your jobs on the quiet. Americans may find it hard to get eggs this holiday season because of bird flu outbreaks and the economy. There has been a shortage of eggs in some stores across the nation, CBS News reported on Friday, noting the businesses in states that require eggs from cage-free hens have been affected by Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI). “More than 40% of the nation’s roughly 300 million egg-laying hens are raised in cage-free facilities, but roughly 60% of ‘bird flu’ cases recently detected involved cage-free farms,” the report continued. There have been outbreaks recently in Utah, Oregon, California, and Washington, per Emily Metz,
