President-elect Donald Trump announced on Thursday that his new pick for attorney general is Pam Bondi. The announcement came just hours after Matt Gaetz withdrew from consideration. "For too long, the partisan Department of Justice has been weaponized against me and other Republicans — Not anymore," Trump said in a post to Truth Social. "Pam will refocus the DOJ to its intended purpose of fighting Crime, and Making America Safe Again." Bondi previously served as Florida’s attorney general.

Americans may find it hard to get eggs this holiday season because of bird flu outbreaks and the economy.
There has been a shortage of eggs in some stores across the nation, CBS News reported on Friday, noting the businesses in states that require eggs from cage-free hens have been affected by Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI).
“More than 40% of the nation’s roughly 300 million egg-laying hens are raised in cage-free facilities, but roughly 60% of ‘bird flu’ cases recently detected involved cage-free farms,” the report continued. A disabled Vietnam veteran and his wife who lost everything in January when a fire struck their Indiana home are getting some much needed support.
The veteran, whose name is Ron Marley, and his wife Judy had no idea what to do when the tragedy struck, WPTA reported on Thursday.
“It’s been devastating. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy,” said Ron, who has owned the property where his house was since he came home from the war.
However, an organization called the Shepherd’s House in Fort Wayne helped get them a new home that will be put on their land.
“A secure border saves lives, not just of our citizens, but of migrants themselves,” incoming border chief Tom Homan told Breitbart News.
That message must be broadcast widely because President-elect Donald Trump’s deputies must keep the trust of the American people as they enforce the nation’s popular migration laws, Homan said. “We will be very transparent,” Homan said, adding, “We’ll be sending a lot of information out every week on exactly what we’re doing, do a lot of videos, a lot of interviews. We need to control the narrative so we keep the trust of American people.”
