President-elect Donald Trump announced on Thursday that his new pick for attorney general is Pam Bondi.
The announcement came just hours after Matt Gaetz withdrew from consideration.
"For too long, the partisan Department of Justice has been weaponized against me and other Republicans — Not anymore," Trump said in a post to Truth Social. "Pam will refocus the DOJ to its intended purpose of fighting Crime, and Making America Safe Again."
Bondi previously served as Florida’s attorney general.

Now, will they attack a woman? Isn't that misogynistic? Let's hope she's got a backbone of high strength, heat treated steel to put up with the evil that will be coming her way.

I just read that she was a Democrat until 2000. Curious to see if the dems drag out the Scientology-related stuff from 15 years ago.

Gaetz, one down and not even one hearing. Hegseth up next. That won't be the end of it. Maybe Dr. Oz up third. Look at the garbage the Democrats confirmed. Republicans, awfully shy, will get their officers in place by 2026, or later.

There always seems to be women who will claim a sexual affair or sexual assault whenever a Republican man is nominated for any office. Makes me wonder if the Dems have a file of women willing to do that. Now that Trump has nominated a woman for this office, the Dems will have to find a woman who will claim Bondi sexually assaulted her or a man willing to do the same. I'm not too broken up about Gaetz dropping out but it was a given that as soon as it was announced that he was up for any job in the Trump administration, some woman was going to make a claim.

I think Gaetz nomination was a headfake. Now they can be thankful for Pam Bondi. I am sure that Nancy Pelosi will allow Hakeem to try for a public gynecological exam. Maybe he can pay some washed up bankrupt NBA or NFL players to act all coy and refuse to deny the rumors that Dems will unleash. I hope she and her family are ready for this.

Bondi as AG and Gaetz as the new senator from Florida? Priceless. Maybe both the RINOs and Dems would stroke out.

It's a good thing the Newlywed Game and Gong Show are off the air. Trump would be picking from their hosts and contestants.

Just as the Left finished making the proper length arrows and siege engines to attack Gaetz, the rug gets pulled out and now they have Pam Bondi to deal with. The attack plans must be drawn up from scratch. I like it.

Trump is the "Grand Master of Trolling." He threw Gaetz's name into the ring to draw out the ne'er-do-wells and crazies on both sides and then, once exposed, he cunningly releases Pam Bondi's name. She has been there, has the certificates, as well as the t-shirts, and is more than suited for the job of U.S. AG.
PJDT = 1
RINO/DEMS = 0
(Personally, I think Matt Whitaker is much more worthy of the AG role than that of "Ambassador to NATO").

The fact that Bondi was named within a few hours is a clear indication that she was always the intended pick. Nobody could be vetted and have had the discussions and time to consider the decision in that short period of time. Trump was obviously rolling a grenade into the Dem's room with the Gaetz pick. Boom. It worked.
Beep-beep!

Note to incoming cabinet officials: not every day, not every prosecution, not every initiative needs a press conference.
Let's dispense with the notion that we are a government with a nation attached, not the other way round.
And we all despise the press so stop giving them cheap fodder for their insipid TV programming. The more media you do, the less you are actually working. QED.
Do your jobs on the quiet. Don't give targets of prosecution a chance to wage a PR war. And nail them to the wall.

Do you suppose...just suppose...that this gaetz appointment was just a ploy to call out the rino republicans ...and Gaetz has another job offer in the President Trump administration already planned....Bondi is a sharp cookie...so much for the theory that President Trump doesn't like strong women...he's placing them in major positions....to bad nasty Nicki is still on the outside looking in...the rinos in DC were counting on her taking a position on the inside ...so she could inform them of the moves.....

#19, unusually popular reply, but you guess wrong. In the Trayvon Martin show trial against George Zimmerman, Sundance sums it up very well, "Let me be very clear. Florida AG Pam Bondi knew that her special prosecutor, Angela Corey, and her friend, Benjamin Crump, had manufactured an entirely false and fictitious witness against George Zimmerman."
